This was a very good value for the price I thought. Location is good, although crossing the convention center at night is annoying for pedestrians since some of the doors are closed after dusk. The room was perfectly fine. Music noise was a problem but it stopped promptly by midnight when the bar closed. My bigger issue was with the bathrooms. First, shared bathrooms really need counter space because patrons have to bring their toiletries with them. But there's no place to put anything. Second, the toilet paper and bath soap, etc., were not always refilled, so bring your own or check before you commit. The bathrooms are cold in winter but the shower is nice and hot.

Very old heritage building obviously but rotten wooden window frames with whistling wind gaps, peeling paint on walls and ceilings with damp spots, dirty worn carpets and no heating at all made for a fairly poor grade stay for the money. Should have stayed at the Ibis for the same money.

Our stay at the hotel was nice. Staff were very friendly and one lady was even kind enough to show us where to park. Bed itself was very comfortable and the windows provided a nice view of the city. Only downside was there was some black mold in our ensuite and there is very little options for parking.

The entry to the hotel smelt like vomit, which extended up the stairs towards the rooms. Rooms was ok, didnt smell. Will never stay here again.

I like the aesthetics of the place. It’s not often you get to stay above a bar. The washrooms and showers are shared. There’s no temperature control. You have to call ahead if you want to check in after 9pm. And the doors don’t close properly by themselves. Overall it’s a nice place if you go in with the right mindset, the area is beautiful, but it lacks the common niceties of a hotel.

It was not clearly stated in the description that bathroom and shower facilities are shared - one at each level. I was surprised when I checked in. Despite stating that there was laundry facilities, this was also not true. I had just come from a multi-day hike and was looking forward to fresh laundry, but I was disappointed by this. Otherwise, the shared facilities were clean and room was nice and clean.

I couldn’t stay there as is was a communal bathroom the other end of the hallway. It was not shown like this when I booked. I was promised a refund by last minute and you have not fulfilled your the request for the refund and are not answering my emails. I had rebook elsewhere at an additional cost. I will continue to pursue this until the matter is resolved.
