Pros: excellent location, plenty of parking, great size for a couple or small family, nice porch. Cons: house in need of maintenance/ upkeep, electrical & plumbing & exterminator issues.

Beautiful location
We very much enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean and well appointed. We especially enjoyed sitting on the front porch/balcony where we could see the ocean (or, at night, hear it). We liked the location and that the neighborhood was so quiet (we were there in early March). We chose the house because it is dog-friendly. We lost our 13-year old pup just before our scheduled arrival and decided to go ahead and make the trip. It was a good decision. This house was a wonderful place to grieve his absence. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house!
This house was perfect for quick getaway for us. Had a work space for my husband and private beach access across the street was perfect. Loved this house and will rent again. Was going to rent again in Oct but unfortunately it was booked for the dates we needed. Very neat and clean. Linens were included and beds already made was a huge huge plus!

Great get away!
We had a wonderful time staying at daydreamer. The house was clean, had outside footwash/shower, and easy access to the beach which was pleasantly uncrowded for a holiday weekend. There was no lack in communication about our stay and check in/check out procedures. Appreciated that we were notified about being able to check in early. Would love to come back again!

1st row with Ocean View!
We had about a 10-15 min. delay getting in at 4:00 because management decided to send the cleaning crew in a second time to clean more as the previous renters must have had some very furry pets! Lol, so we were thankful they did that and the place was very clean. Also very comfortable beds in all rooms. Also very comfortable seating in the family room to hang out and watch movies together at night. Kitchen had all we needed for nights to cook and eat in. There is still a vacant lot oceanfront and diagonal to this property which makes for a wonderful ocean view from the deck. Deck is partially covered to have nice shade most of the day. We enjoyed the deck in the mornings to rock in the rockers with our first cup of coffee and enjoy the ocean before making the trek down there for the day. Overall would most definitely stay there again and again!! Thank you for a lovely place for us to enjoy our summer beach week!

Not great but not terrible
Property nice, great location to the beach. The actual house was pretty dirty and we spent a good amount of time cleaning, especially vacuuming up other dogs hair. The traffic outside was bad. I was shocked at how loud the cars going by were and it made it unenjoyable to sit out there, and definitely couldnt even hear the ocean.The kitchen was fairly stocked but just about no spices, the dishwasher didnt clean super well, and the knives super dull. The size of the house was good though, we had 3 adults, 2 dogs, and 2 kids. We did love having a shower house outside to get all the sand off before coming inside. Check in was easy too. The house just needs better maintenence in our opinion.

What a great Vacation Getaway Home!
The property was extremally clean. We arrived a little earlier than our check in time. The cleaners were still there, they offered to let us go in if we needed too. They also offered to help us carry our luggage in, we declined but just to have the offer was amazing. We were only feet from the sand. It was a great getaway. The house was quite, we never heard the traffic outside. We definitely enjoyed our time. We found lots of shells and sea biscuits and were able to relax. It was one of our best trips to Holden Beach. I definitely recommend this property for a great vacation.

LOVELY!
The propery location could only be better if it were ocean front, but we could still see the ocean from the large balcony. We were there to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. There were a couple of things missing that would have made the stay just a bit better. Garbage bags and dishwashing soap (both types). I will defiantely plan to stay again.

Walkway to the beach is right across the street (good). Home is near the bridge from mainland to the island, so there is a lot of street traffic going by the house (not so good).

Overall the we enjoyed the house and location. Some sheets for the beds were missing but the property manager came right away with them. The only complaint I have is the trash cans outside were overflowing and it smelt bad. Cleanliness of the house could have been better - dirty floors, fingerprints on tables/doors, and moldy shower curtains.

Early May Getaway
We had a WONDERFUL stay here. It was our first beach trip with our two Australian Shepherd pups and it was everything we could have asked for. Home was very clean, kitchen was well stocked with any equipment we needed. Private beach access is directly across from the home making the trek easy. Traffic at this time of year was minimal even though we were so close to the bridge, which made it quick and easy to run out for groceries, dinner, ice cream, etc. Front porch is perfect for sitting out all night, and is gated all around so the dogs can roam freely. We had a bit of an issue with one of our pups making a snack out of a pillow (dogs will be dogs) but the property manager and owner were extremely understanding and easy to work with to make it right. 100% look forward to booking this place again!!

Perfect little beach place with easy easy easy access to the beach right across the street. It is busy but as expected being near the bridge to the island. Cleanest rental beach property I’ve stayed at so far. I do wish the grill was able to be used but it was very rusty and old but that’s it. Great restaurants nearby!

Great Location with quick access to bridge and close location to restaurants on island (walk or drive). Getting keys was easy, already there for pick up during hours, plus convenient drop off. The property was clean and well stocked with spices and kitchen ware (Clean pots and pans, cookie sheets, roasting pans). We did not want for anything in kitchen (nice sharp knives as well). The floor has been upgraded from carpets to vinyl planks. Good for pets. Close to beach (across the street) and lovely wide beaches. Also close to city or community center (including police) and including courts for tennis/basketball/pickleball (get there early). Central air worked well - we used both A/C and heat. Nice washer and dryer as well.

I LOVED the location. That way my favorite. The house was not clean. I was not happy with that. I spent my first two hours there cleaning the fridge and the bathroom. it was "surface" cleaned. There was dog hair in the fridge. It was gross. I realize it is a pet friendly property, but the cleaners should use fresh cloths for each surface so they aren't spreading animal hair. there were 20+ dog hairs in fridge. The commodes were not cleaned well, nor was the floor in the bathrooms. The house could be really cute but its not nearly as good as the pics look online. The carpets need replacing terribly. Again, i know its pet friendly. But put down laminate wood flooring or something. I LOVED the kitchen. its nice and freshly remodeled. The furniture in the den was nice and comfy. I enjoyed the porch facing OBW. Nice sitting out there at night. I love Holden Beach, I go every year for 1-2 weeks.

Cute house, a bit worn
Clean, very cute house. Accurate pictures in the listing and close to the beach. Only complaint is that there was a large hole in the carpet and it looked old and stained and the walls and were all dinged up and had marks on them. I suspect that it was a hard summer on the house. The property managers will definitely need to repaint and change the carpet for the next season. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay. Appreciated the very well stocked kitchen with two kinds of coffee makers, a good variety of pots and pans and a large supply of herbs and spices. Made for pleasant cooking both in the kitchen and the charcoal grill. The location is good to walk to the local eateries and ice cream place in addition to convenient access to the beach. The downside to being so close to everything is the constant traffic but I found that staying further in the island made for an annoyingly long drive to get to amenities. The other nice thing is that if you rent for a week, they provide sheets, which was nice that we didn’t have to pack or rent them. You still have to bring your own towels though.
