Close to Athens Ohio. You’ll love my place because of the views, the peace, the fishing, the relaxation. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). My place is also part of the Windy 9 for the Motorcycle enthusiasts or those who just want to enjoy some scenic rides through the countryside.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and there are three additional beds in the loft upstairs. This is a cozy little place to relax and enjoy the peace and relaxation.

Please note this is a cabin in the country. We try very hard to keep everything fresh. clean and comfortable. You will experience a country setting which includes often (not promised) seeing wildlife. We also have other country aspects. This is a small cabin in the country and bugs do get into the cabin at times. If this is an issue for you please ask about them before booking. We work very hard to minimize this issue but at certain times of the year they can be a nuisance. If you are looking for a pristine place to go this may not be the option for you. If you are looking for a super relaxing cabin and place to escape we feel this is an excellent option. We would love to have you as guests but want to make sure you are comfortable. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We will answer as honest and accurate as possible. We want you to enjoy the trip you are planning and have a wonderful time whether it is with open season or elsewhere.

This is a no frills cabin (except for the hot tub :) as reflected in the price. This means you will need to bring things like hand soap, all personal items, towels for the hot tub...etc. One bath towel and wash cloth is provided for each guest. If you want extra please bring some with you.

Lake Dow is a short 15 minute drive. Lake has kayaks, paddleboat, Pontoon boats, a beach, picnic area, fishing and more to enjoy.

Quiet Cabin
This is a quaint cabin on a quiet road surrounded by woods, which kept it very private. The cabin is rustic and accurately explained in the details. It has a fully equipped kitchen and had everything we needed, and then some. A squirrel greeted us on the deck each morning and we saw lots of deer, wild turkey, and rabbits. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and watching the turtles sun themselves on a log. It was a nice getaway.

Quiet relaxing getaway
We were so grateful to find such a cute little cabin to stay in for our anniversary and we will say it was everything we wanted. The area was remote enough that we did not feel disturbed at all and the cabin was very cozy. Thank you again for letting us stay!

Beautiful Relaxing Place
This was a very beautiful place to stay! We enjoyed being able to have our dogs with us and that they could run off leash. My only complaint would be someone showed up on a 4 wheeler and drove around the pond area. That alone is not the problem but not being told about it could be a problem if someone doesn't have dogs that do well with strangers or someone passing by on a 4 wheeler. Luckily our dogs weren't out at the time. And there's a big hornets nest by the pound. They didn't bother us but someone could be allergic or the dogs could be so just a heads up. We loved being able to fish whenever we wanted too and there's multiple fishing spots near by where we caught a ton of fish to keep. We also went hiking at turtle head cave which was beautiful and enjoyed the hot tub every night. It seems like you're deep in the woods but you're actually close to town. Perfect spot if you ask me. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay with your dogs I highly recommend this rental. about it told about it

The pictures don't do the cabin justice. The pond/lake seemed much bigger than in the pictures. It had a great back deck looking over the pond so I could easily keep an eye on the kids and relax myself. The host was awesome and very responsive.

Mark was an excellent host, very responsive and easy to work with even when the electric went out at three in the morning. House is very remote take a truck if you have it. House is extremely clean. Would love to come back in the fall when the weather is a little cooler and the leaves are turning.

20th Wedding anniversary
This was our second stay in 7 months. It was even better this time if possible. We enjoyed the hot tub and grill. We played scrabble on the deck under the stars. The walk around the pond was wonderful andy husband thought he saw an Oriole bird. It was so relaxing and very hard to leave. We could not believe the time went so quickly. Thanks again Mark

Cabin situated on beautiful property
Roomy, comfortable Cabin. Livingroom set up was accommodating. Food trays, tv, air, comfy seats. Loved sitting on the deck and gazing out at the pond. Saw a Night Heron, hawks, geese, turkey vultures, deer, turtles, and many song birds. Would stay here again. You are surrounded by country living.

Decided to stay in Ohio to enjoy the solar eclipse. Took a day trip to Buck Creek State Park for the eclipse totality. Great cabin, loved the hottub. Brought dog who enjoyed the yard and local hiking trails. Great vacation spot

Great Cabin
We stayed with 2 adults and 2 teenagers and it was great. The kids were attending OU Honor Band for the weekend and this is a better option and cheaper than a hotel. I used my hotspot for internet so I could work remotely with no issues. Will stay again!

Thanksgiving
We spent our Thanksgiving here and it was wonderful. It was so relaxing beginning with the hot tub to the peacefulness of where the cabin was. Seemed thousands of miles from everyone. We had our usual Thanksgiving dinner, grilled steaks, wonderful grill. We recommend staying here and enjoying nature. Also we were able to watch all three Thanksgiving Day football games. Thank you Mark for helping us get to the cabin, my map from my phone quit and we did not have telephone service for a bit, once we did Mark directed us in and very helpful during our stay.
