Incredible property with a view
This is wonderful place to stay if visiting the Columbia River Gorge. The property is well appointed, clean and the hosts add extra touches to make your stay feel welcoming and comfortable. This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here and we truly hope to do it again.

Shellrock cottage is perfect for a couple to have a cozy romantic stay. From spending a quiet time on the deck sipping coffee and watching the elk, deer and rabbits in the yard during the day to star gazing at night. The cottage is stocked with everything you need to be comfortable and content. The hosts are amazing and thoughtful. They left a very nice note and assorted treats to eat – very nice surprise. The cottage is just a five-minute drive from Stevenson. It is also an easy trip to the Bonneville Dam and the beautiful waterfalls and hiking on the Oregon side of the Columbia. This was a perfect getaway and we will be back. Thank you very much.

Cabin and property were absolutely beautiful. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups and everything else. The fridge had some condiments and coffee creamer and the host also left us some waters and snacks along with a welcome card. The small town of Stevenson is a short 5 minute drive with a couple restaurants, grocery store, coffee spots and more. Would highly recommend for couples looking to get out of the city or hustle and bustle of everyday life for a quaint stay and fresh air. We'll definitely be back.

Shell Rock cabin stay
Lovely stay at your cabin, very comfortable and clean. Bed was great for sleeping. We spent our days exploring the area. Not many places to eat in Stevenson but many in surrounding areas. There is a local grocery so we packed lunch’s and then found different restaurants for evening meal. Would have been nice to have a little cooler available but we were able to buy one at local hardware. That was a small detail considering how well your home was supplied with everything. Columbia Gorge is such a beautiful area! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Morning sunrise’s were gorgeous from your cabin!

What a sweet cabin
I came to the area to do some photography and this cabin really was perfect for me and all of my gear. Comfortable and had everything I needed! I met the owners as well, super nice and very accommodating and responsive to my initial question which was minor. Would love to come back another time when it's not so hot, but the air conditioner was a life saver!

I cannot begin to describe how wonderful the cabin, property, and community is. Although we never formally met, the hosts must be a couple of the finest people on the planet Earth. If you have an opportunity to stay at Shellrock do not hesitate to do so, you will not be disappointed.

Stunning-well worth protecting!!
Did not read the rules and had a last minute change that meant there were three of us. The owner was firm but polite that wasn’t going to work. My extra friend found a hotel. I appreciated his attitude and apologized for not making sure I knew the rules. It is well worth sticking to the rules! The view is beyond words gorgeous!!! I definitely want to come back, with only one friend this time! Loved it

It's the view!
Everything was great - the furnishings, the kitchen equipment, the light that streamed through the many windows, the snack basket the host prepared. But what really makes this place special is the view - out over a meadow, beyond the trees and across the gorge.

Perfect little cabin
What an excellent little place! We enjoyed every aspect. The view is amazing! We picked up some fresh Chinook salmon and grilled out one night and just took it all in. The cabin itself is so comfortable. So many windows to let that fresh air in, great little lounger couch to relax and watch a movie and we slept so well both nights. I don’t have one negative thing to say. Thank you.

The cabin was so nice and clean and very updated. We enjoyed the outside patio but really liked sitting out on the front porch because one evening we saw some deer. The view of the Gorge is breathtaking! Libby and Craig are wonderful hosts. We will definitely be back!

A perfect cabin for our weekend stay
The cabins are super cute, comfy & conveniently located. My boyfriend & I stayed in one and my friend & her husband in the other. We were there for the Bridge of the Gods Half marathon. It was super close to the start line & park for the finish line. The cabin was clean, roomy for two people and the bed was super comfortable. Having our own kitchen & grill was an added bonus. Do not hesitate, book your stay!

GREAT view, nice town
We really enjoyed being on the less busy side of the Columbia River for a few days before a conference in Portlanf. This lovely, comfortable cabin was a wonderful home base. The view of the river and mountains was beautiful. Nice welcome basket of snacks and juice & water in the fridge. The bed was really comfortable. It's a nice quiet location, about a mile (?) from town. Stevenson is a lovely town with good restaurants--and an independent bookstore! We loved our quite mornings on the porch listening to all the birds and the easy access to the main road to go to hikes and wineries. The two cabins are pretty close together, but that is only an issue when both parties are on the front porches. They'd be perfect for two couples traveling together or if a screen/shade were put at one end of each of the porches. We would definitely go back if in the area.
