"Fantastic alternative to cookie cutter hotels. Great a small glimpse behind the curtains of how the wealthy lived over 100 years ago. Beautiful three story house with lots of room to stretch out, and a great host who makes you feel very welcome. "

"This hotel lives up to it's good reviews. Friendly staff, clean room. We had an accessible room as I have trouble with my hip and need handicap bars. It had a built in chaise/couch which was nice. Washer and dryer at hotel, only one set, but reasonable...worked well. Breakfast was GREAT! The pastries were under a warming light....3 brands of yogurt to choose from....4 warmers with scrambled eggs and omelettes in one, sausage patties in another, fried potatoes in another and biscuits/gravy in a 4th. All had self closing lids, so you didn't have to figure out where to set the cover and glass inserts so you could see what was inside...also crocks next to each to hold the serving utensils, so the handles didn't end up in the food. We are both gluten sensitive, so appreciate the choices we had. The rest was typical hotel food. The breakfast attendant was friendly and efficient. Just a really great experience! "
