Squirrel Barn is a very beautiful and very friendly hi-spec barn conversion. GOLD AWARD WINNER OF BEST FAMILY HOLIDAY LET IN UK 2017 and 2018. Designed for families, children, pets and parties, max sleep 14. Hi-speed wifi, 7xTV+ Firesticks, 4 bedrooms + 2 sofa beds, 2 bathrooms, extra beds for big parties. Kitchen/diner/family room for 14 with TV and cinema surround sound, bluetooth, karaoke and Alexa. VERY CHILD/PET FRIENDLY, large gardens and terraced patio, wood fired hot tub always hot, paddling pool with hot shower, fire pit, BBQ, secure child garden and sand pit, swings, slides, darts, basketball, zip wire, extensive toys and garden games for all ages including adults. Very close to the Green Man, award-winning rural pub, pet and child friendly, does takeaway stone-baked pizza:) Also has a small very good restaurant.

Squirrel Barn is exceptionally well equipped, the emphasis being on technology, kitchen facilities and garden facilities for all ages. The gardens are always lit at night, patios and furniture, wood fired hot tub, fire pit, paddling pool with hot and cold supply, badminton, darts, archery, basket ball, zip wire, swings and slides, Wendy House, sand pit, buckets of toys and games for all ages, inside and outside.

Perfect for the kids
Booked to stay for 1 night after a trip to Alton Towers. It's a shame we didn't stay for longer as the kids absolutely loved it - particularly the garden which was packed with things for them to do, including a zip line. Would definitely recommend for families and groups of friends with kids.

Booked for a relaxing hen do for me and friends - we were not disappointed The host showed us round and how to use the hot tub which was the main reason for booking. We all had a go on the zip line in the garden which was great. Brilliant for children and adults as there is so much to do and the house is so well laid out. I would definitely recommend it

Amazing place!
Stayed at squirrel barn as a group of 11 adults for my 40th birthday. What an amazing place! Communication was brilliant throughout the whole process. David met us when we arrived and was so helpful and friendly. The accommodation was perfect, it had everything we needed and more! Everyone felt at home, really enjoyed the hot tub and there were plenty of beds, towels, etc for everyone. Such a relaxed and fun place to stay. We cant wait to return with our children as we know they will absolutely love it too! If you are considering staying here, definitely do it, you wont be disappointed!

40th Birthday Celebration
The cottage is quirky and ideal for a group of friends to celebrate together. Prior to checking in, David could not have been more helpful, answering every question and arranging for some of us to get there early and decorate the house. We had a fab time relaxing in the hot tub and chatting around the huge table listening to music. I would definitely recommend Squirrel Barn to others.

The location was amazing. The property needs a good deep clean to get rid of cob webs, food spilage in the freezer and dusty skirting boards. The property does not have a bedroom with twin beds they are twin mattresses on the floor behind a curtain. The hot tub was dirty and not sure had H&S checks so didnt use it. The garden needed weeding and the grass cutting. The owner was very helpful and really goodxat tesponding to questions.

Lovely stay and great value for money
We had a party of 11 and the property was perfect, plenty of beds and facilities. The zip line was great fun. Our hosts were helpful, friendly, and informative. The relatively short distance to Alton Towers was handy too. And to top it all off I thought the price was very reasonable. We would love to stay again 😊

The garden and house has some amazing features. Problems were dealt with quickly. Plenty to do in terms of games, and great outdoor details, such as hot tub and zip wire. Lots of towels provided. Fields very close for the dog walking.

We came to Squirrel Barn to celebrate my 50th Birthday- What an amazing place it is. Lovely area, great house, great garden entertainment hot tub, fire pit etc etc we even had the live music festival from the local pub. Can’t recommend this place enough. We’re planning a yearly girlie weekend

Quiet getaway
This property was everything promised and more. We had a great weekend and the pub did a fantastic Sunday lunch. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants time with the family. There is everything you would need. It's great.

Property was very spacious and allowed for lots of space. There was plenty of activities in the garden and inside which good for all ages, the hot tub and zip wire definitely make it. We celebrated a birthday and they didn’t mind about the noise ect which is a good thing with a bunch of girls! Would definitely recommend this place and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you

13 of us and 4 dogs came to stay for a weekend, Perfect for all of us. Lovely big Party Kitchen, property all secure behind a large gate, so no worries with the dogs. David really helpful and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend, we will be back!! Thank you.

Great place with so much to do
The property is a great location for families of all ages. There are more toys, games and outdoor activities than you could imagine. The zip wire was a firm favourite for all ages. The host is very responsive to messages and goes out of the way to support which is great to see. Only caveat is the sofa bed is not the most comfortable (and for the second night we arranged mattresses on the floor to overcome this). All in all a great place which keeps the children entertained so the grown-ups can have a good catch-up.
