Luxury Vacation Villa on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Located on St. Thomas in the beautiful Virgin Islands. As you open the entrance doors to Moonlight Villa, you are immediately captivated by the incredible view before you. An unobstructed ocean view, that no photo could ever do justice to. The villa is situated in the gated community of Mahogany Run. A neighborhood with steep winding private roads which lead to exquisite private homes nestled in the mountain among lush tropical gardens. Located on the North side of the Island, away from it all, yet, minutes away from beaches, shopping and dining. Moonlight Villa is secluded and offers a calming, serene atmosphere. The villa is composed of 2 pavilions. The West Pavilion contains the kitchen, living room/dining area, and one king bed room. Sliding glass doors provide a bright living area filled with natural light. There is a view from every angle in the west pavilion. Also in the west pavilion is a full bath and laundry room. The heated pool is situated between the two pavilions. Across the pool, in the East Pavilion, is the master suite. The master suite is quiet and private. The master suite has a king bed and sitting area. A great place to go unwind. There is also an office space with a desk. A large master bath with an additional ‘dressing room’ behind the master bedroom. This room can easily accommodate an inflatable mattress if needed. On the lower level of the East Pavilion, there is a large bedroom, with its own entrance, (accessed by an outside stairway from the deck), that has 2 queen-sized beds, a full bath and sitting area. The lower deck has outdoor seating and a protected shady place to enjoy the magnificent the ocean view. The main level has a private 12 foot by 20 foot pool and an expansive new deck which extends the entire width of the house. This allows for plenty of room for outdoor dining and BBQ, without disturbing the ‘sun worshippers’ lounging by the pool. Outside the west pavilion is a covered area for dining al fresco. Nighttime on the deck is intoxicating. The moonlight and stars literally light up the deck. Outdoor sconces also illuminate the deck, should you want more light. The pool also has a multicolor light which adds a festive vibe. There are Bluetooth mounted speakers on the outside deck. Recent renovations and other amenities include: \-All New Bathrooms \-Refinished Pool and deck (pool heated to 82 degrees F) \-Kitchen with cherry wood cabinets, granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances, with a gas cooking range. Our kitchen has all the supplies you’d need pots/pans, utensils,plates , glasses and a basic kitchen staples. \- A newly added covered outdoor dining area. \-Gas BBQ grill \-New, state of the art, air conditioning system has been placed throughout the villa. \-Freshly painted interior and exterior \-All new Impact windows and doors \-New roof \-Outdoor lighting \-Interior décor updated \-\*\*Ultra Violet Water sanitizing and filtration system! \-Beach supplies are provided to include: \-Towels \-Beach chairs (8) \-Beach umbrella \-Cooler - large on wheels and smaller soft sided one for quick trip to grocery store or small beach outing. \-Large generator with automatic on/off switch to supply entire house in the event of power outages. —\*\*Graco pack and play with a newborn seat station \- booster seat for toddlers if needed The neighborhood is a great place to walk and get some exercise. Along your walk you will marvel at the beauty of tropical shrubbery and the unforgettable jaw dropping ocean views. You will encounter some ‘locals’ on your walk (chickens, roosters, iguanas), don’t fret, they wont hurt you! The area is gated and has security patrols so feel comfortable and safe as you explore even if you feel like you are in an isolated area, you are not alone! The weather was absolutely perfect with a high of 82F everyday and a refreshing breeze off the ocean. Our stay included two couples, a bride and groom and their witnesses. Each couple enjoyed the two upper level private suites separated by an open air swimming pool and a massive deck! Roads on the island are very windy and steep, this neighborhood is no exception. We rented a 4 door Jeep which was an absolute must to navigate the steep roads and driveway and provided lots of fun besides! We rented vehicle through Paradise Rental Car located right by the airport and they were awesome as well! If your looking for a relaxed private stay with no so much of the hustle bustle beach side acomodations, this is the place. We loved it! ##### Paul J. The pool definitely was a plus with everyone. We brought our daughter, her friend, our son and his wife it was so nice to each have their own private space. We had power outages daily but they had a generator so that was great, the owners were great when we had questions especially during TS Ernesto. We rented a big 4 wheel drive truck to hold everything and it was needed to get up the hills. Wr wanted a house to be away from “the city” and we didn’t mind cooking most nights. We did go out mostly for lunch. We enjoyed Root 22 and the North Grind had really good breakfast food and coffee. It was extremely clean, well stocked with everything needed to get our vacation started, the rooms were spacious, and the views from the deck were absolutely amazing. The villa is just as described but even more beautiful than in the pictures. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the beds were comfortable. We were thankful for the generator, which kicked on seamlessly many times during our stay due to storms. Communication was very prompt when we needed assistance. We felt very safe in the gated community and enjoyed not being in the middle of a busy town. I would definitely come back! The bedrooms were perfect for two children and two adult couples. I personally could have sat on the balcony most of the week admiring the view. The kids had a blast in the pool. This is probably the cleanest property my husband and I have rented in 7 years of using VRBO. We enjoyed listening to our own music by the pool in the afternoons and evenings. The manager met us at the gate and escorted us to the villa. Then she made sure we knew how everything worked. The villa is decorated very tastefully. ##### Kristin B. The home did really have everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, pool, beach, and relaxing. The other reviews and description are very accurate in all aspects, and it is truly an unbelievable location. The area feels very safe, and once you get used to driving some hills it’s a fun spot to be located. Anything on the island is basically 10-20 mins away but every ride had our family staring out the windows at the natural beauty of St. Thomas. We easily settled into a daily routine of: breakfast with a view, drive to a new beach, relax in the pool, and find a beautiful restaurant for dinner. Grilling and prepping food at the villa is very easy as well. Our kids (6 and 10yo) absolutely loved the pool (they are great swimmers but be aware it's 5ft deep), and everything the hosts had around the house. They loved looking through all the photo books, watching Netflix on the TVs after a long day of sun, or reading a book on the deck. This villa was an integral part of what our family has deemed “the best vacation ever”. Thank you to the hosts and we appreciate you sharing your home. ##### Mike R. We were greeted by a kind woman who gave us a tour and showed us the amenities. She was available during our entire stay for any questions that we as this was our first time visiting USVI. We really loved this and found this comforting. The surrounding views of the ocean are absolutely stunning. The picturesque sunsets each night were incredibly breathtaking. This experience was a true gift. The master bedroom is separate and across the pool from the living room and an additional bedroom with one bed in it. The pool was very clean and wonderful. Our two girls really enjoyed the pool. Although we did not utilize the lower level, there was plenty more room for more people if needed. There are beach chairs, sand toys, and some snorkeling gear that we’re ready to use and take to the beach located in a closet. The owners are very kind and provide you with a personalized guide. St. Thomas and this property was everything we wanted it to be. The views from the deck are simply breathtaking and made for an amazing backdrop for the week. We saw multiple rainbows over the ocean! The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, providing tips before the trip and connections during. We used their recommended driver Edwin (Zoom Zoom) and he was great, picking us up in an open air vehicle and taking us all around the island. Property was clean and well stocked. We used the kitchen and the BBQ quite a bit and it worked perfectly. The rooms are very private from one another if that matters and very large. Only a couple things to call out, the driveway is indeed very steep, and we had to walk up and down it to meet the tour vehicle. Please know that anyone with mobility issues might not be able to do so. Also - the neighborhood is very hilly (St. Thomas is a mountainous island all around) and not really walkable unless you’re in very good shape. This made the location feel a bit remote and isolated, but if that is what you’re after to “get away from it all” you will LOVE it. Just want people to know - not a criticism, this is a special place. All around we completely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the property and the hosts! ##### Andy W. We were very grateful for the front gate staff who gave us directions but also drove back a few minutes later just to check and make sure we made it to the house. Also, a four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. The driveway is close to a 45 degree angle.The host’s greeter met us at the house and was very helpful in explaining the various features of the house. She also gave great suggestions for locations for food and activities.The house location is beautiful. The photos don’t capture the full beauty of it. Be prepared for the mosquitos on the patio as they were out in full force, but possibly, this was due to the time of year. If driving a rental around the island and to the property, be ready for quite the harrowing experience, this was the first time we did so on a visit to the USVI. Mike and Carol are amazing hosts, and their home (and the amazing view) is second to none.
