You are going to love your stay at Coastal Hideaway! This ocean view beach home features its own private swimming pool and much more. This four bedrooms and two and a half bath home sits just feet away from the ocean on Vilano Beach.

The house is Two levels, 4 Bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms, with a maximum occupancy of 10. There are three queen beds, 1 daybed and a bunk bed. The bathrooms have a walk-in shower and a tub shower combo. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with a dining area and a breakfast bar.

The pet friendly Coastal Hideaway has everything to make you feel right at home during your vacation. Fresh linens, tiled floors, fully equipped kitchen, large HDTV Flat Panel TV, Wi-Fi, Washer and Dryer, Dish Washer and more.

A quick 100 steps to the beach! This quiet but hip area of Vilano/North Beach is popular for surfing, paddle boarding, surf fishing, shark teeth hunting and much more. There are many great restaurants within minutes that you can either walk, bike or drive to. Our comfortable home is a 10-minute drive to the fun & activity filled oldest town in America, St. Augustine! The Vilano Beach pier is a 5-minute car drive away where you will find a Publix Grocery Store and a mini outdoor mall. In the same area there is a local Post Office, Bait & Gear store, a boat rental facility and gas dock, a local pub and more restaurants near and on the Intercoastal beach. A 20-minute drive to the home of the PGA at TPC Sawgrass, and a 2-hour drive to Disney World.

Vilano Beach, which resides on Veterans Island, in St. Augustine is closer to the historic district than any other of the Saint Augustine beaches. It is only 10 minutes to the historic sights and the antique district. Spend your mornings on the beaches, and afternoons strolling along Saint George Street, downtown Saint Augustine.

Aside from the Historic District, Coastal Hideaway is in a good location for sports enthusiasts. Fishing, Boating, and all other sorts of water sports are just moments away. PGA golf courses in Ponte Vedra, which is just to the North. You can be at a Jacksonville Jaguars game within 40 minutes. Something for everyone at Coastal Hideaway!

Due to the Florida beach restoration project over the past year, beach access has varied (stairs, wall, to a sandy mound). Right now access is over the sand mound and easily accessible!

We have a legal easement (walk thru) between the pink and white houses pictured in the photos providing you that sought after a less populated access to Vilano beach!

If you prefer the stairs, public access is available 3 blocks down. We have a wagon at the house to help carry your beach necessities either way you choose to access!***

Annual Memorial Day Vacay
The house was perfect for our family. Comfy beds, large kitchen, wonderful porch for reading a book or just taking in the view. Kids had a great time in the pool and the beach was the best we’ve been to Access was easy and no crowd. We will definitely stay here again.

Great for dogs!

Great accommodations!
We celebrated my parents’ anniversary here for a 4 day stay with our group of 9. Unfortunately, the access to the beach was unavailable, but can easily drive 3-5 min down road to access it. The pool was wonderful and there was plenty of space for us to all enjoy the house without feeling crowded.

We loved our stay! The pictures don't do it justice. The rooms are really spacious and comfy. The layout is ideal for a large group. We especially loved sitting out on the deck and hearing the ocean. The only wish i had was for some newer nonstick pans since we cooked all of our meals there. We definitely plan to return and will highly recommend this place to others! Beautiful view and convenient location.
Coffee will never be the same again after staying at Coastal Hideaway! The view of the ocean was amazing! And being a short drive away from the downtown area was a great experience! We felt secluded and close to everything at the same time. It’s just a shame that the weather didn’t want to cooperate. All in all we had an incredible experience and want to thank you for making this trip so special to us!

We had a great time! The place was great and the pool is a very nice convenience. The beach was a short walk away, but it we had it almost to ourselves! The host was quick to respond and took care of anything we needed---which wasn't much. There are lots of leftover beach items in the garage that were available as well. The pictures accurately describe the property.

Liked everything about our stay. Only thing is the stairs the luggage, grocery’s etc. have to up. Remember to bring garbage bags. Pool was great nice and clean. It’s a bit of a walk to beach access and the traffic was a bit scary on the way. Great restaurants very close by, gas, grocery etc. didn’t have time for the great history and tours, but we live in FL and visit St. Augustine frequently.

Beach vacation
Excellent communication with property manager. All concerns were addressed. Inside seating for the family was limited. The biggest disappointment was the unavailability of the beach access, uncontrollable by the owners but it was frustrating to have to pack up cars and drive to the beach. If the beach access were remedied we would definitely consider returning.

A great family vacation by the ocean
A great spacious and clean property with a wonderful private pool, and a great location overall, close to everything you want to see in St. Augustine area. Also, I want to say a huge thank you to our property manager, Katelyn. The communication was excellent. We had a few small issues with the air-conditioning in the middle of our stay, and those issues were addressed and resolved immediately. The access to the beach is shared with two other homes and one owner had a big construction projects outside, the beach access was somewhat blocked, but Katelyn offered a solution that worked for us. We enjoyed our week by the ocean and will gladly come back again.

Really enjoyable overall but small issue with beach access
We really liked the property. The owner had great communication. The only issue with it was the beach access. It is right across the street but unlike the others we saw there were not enough stairs. Instead there was a very steep section of sand to go down before reaching the stairs. This was okay for us but just barely. If the kids were younger or if we were older or if we wanted to take more things to and from the beach this could have been a problem. We made it work but just barely. There was some construction going on so maybe there will be stairs in the future but this is the only thing that made me give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Everything else was as promised, the pool was awesome to have.

Could have been a 5, but.......
1. Were told we had cable. Contacted vrbo thru app and got instructions to find "Fire Stream". Didn't work. We sent 2nd message and never got a response. We tried putting in our password to stream. We all have streaming in our homes and are familiar with it. It would not work, because we could not enter our own email address. 2. Some bathrooms only had worn beach towels instead of bath towels. Many were with holes. 3. The a/c worked the 1st afternoon. After that, it could not cool below 78 during the late morning/afternoon. The french doors had no covers and the sun came in. Once it warmed up, the bedrooms didn't cool down well. If these problems were corrected, we would give it a 2nd chance.

We didn’t get to actually stay here (due to the hurricane) but I would give 1000 stars to the host who was so kind to update me and very prompt in my refund. I hope to book here again soon! It made me give stars for things I actually didn’t see but I gave the best because he deserves the best for his contact with me.

Family Vacation
We chose this property for a family vacation. We had 7 adults (myself and my adult kids) and 3 kids (9, 8, and 3). The location is amazing, just a short walk across the road to a gorgeous Beach. The house was nice, especially the upper deck. It has plenty of parking with a nice pool. We had some minor issues, but the host was very responsive. The home needs more living room seating (only seats 4-5). Its a great place and could be even better with some minor updates and improvements of the home.
