"We loved the hotel and restaurant. The valet service was pretty unresponsive when we arrived but retrieving our car was great. My 92 year old father didn’t have hot water in the morning, but the nice woman who checked us out comped our parking."

"Wonderful front desk staff and the Monk Bar was a fun surprise. We enjoyed a fabulous hand-crafted cocktail and the bartender's music selection before heading out for the evening. Breakfast was to-go style but there is a comfortable dining area to enjoy if you prefer to not take it to your room or to wherever you are going. Very walkable location. It was cold when we were there, but the outdoor patio area looks very inviting for next time."

"Beautiful historic building conveniently located in the Shadyside neighborhood. Very convenient free parking in a Pittsburgh hotel, which is usually inconvenient and expensive. We enjoyed meeting our family in the beautiful cocktail lounge, and the staff was very pleasant and most accommodating. My only criticism is that our room furniture was somewhat worn, with scratches in the wood, chipped edges, etc. The bathroom itself had been recently renovated, and the room itself was very clean."

"The set up of the area was the first thing we noticed. It was modern and open. There was a Panera downstairs, a Starbucks a few doors down, Jeni's ice cream across the way...I could go on. Lots of food choices readily available! We don't know the neighborhoods, so we were a little nervous before arriving. No nerves necessary! It was a quick ride to the zoo, and even going to The Strip was easily manageable. I was very pleased with our stay. The staff was friendly and happy to answer any and all...
