"Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. "

"Nice small hotel close to the beach, town and bars etc. Nice pool and bar area and food is good (we had to pay extra for breakfast). Ideal for a short break, the hotel arranged turtle swimming for us and can organise many other trips, also Spa on site. We had travelled from Tissa and first impressions here was that Marissa was very touristy and the route to the “secret beach” is a rubbish strewn dirt track, however once we settled in, we enjoyed the area."

"Beautiful hotel located in a green garden with palms and leafy trees. Very quiet place, rooms are far from the road. The main noisemakers are chipmunks jumping on the roofs and munching on your fruits if you accidentally left it outside. Once I had a dinner there and I enjoyed the food. "Very good hotel, but they didn't have a room for us when we arrived, despite our having prepaid for it months in advance. Management dealt with it well by sending us to another hotel for one night. So, apart from causing us some anxiety, it was only a small glitch.. It's not in the center of things, but everything you'd wand to do is within a short, cheap tuk-tuk ride. Management is very helpful arranging these, and anything else you need. "
