"The place is clean, the bedrooms are spacious, the common rooms are cozy, the showers are high pressure, and the staff were very friendly. The only complaint is that the house dog situation was, for the time that I was there, a little concerning. They were quite vocal and unfriendly for the most part, apparently because they were in heat. I believe the staff when they say it's not always like that. But overall I greatly enjoyed Guest House Matsu so much that I kept wanting to spend time there...

"フロントが居なくて中々チェックイン出来なかった。と言うより鍵がかかっててホステルの中に入れなく、電話してもチャイムを押しても誰も出ず、寒空の中ホステル前で１時間途方に暮れた。最終的に電話は通じてチェックインできたが、その後滞在中一度もフロントを見かけなかった、管理に問題あり。予約される方はチェックインできないのは覚悟で。"

"It's a really well designed Hostel with very nice, cosy feeling, very clean, very new facilities, in a pleasant area and we really appreciated the staff and owner who were so nice to us - even inviting us to a New Year Party! We extended our stay an extra two days after arriving because it was a great spot for us to make day trips to Nara and Kyoto too! We'll come back. It was perfect for the father son trip we made around Japan."

"IM is hard to find at first but once you have figured out a route it is super easy to the train station from the shop alleyway. Has everything you need, great wifi and a fridge however nothing to cook on. Great for location, has heating and wifi in rooms and the living area to hang out in.
