"LOVED our stay at the Royal Sonesta River North. The view from our room was amazing of the river. Splurge for the River View!! The location is perfect for everything. Easy to walk to ALL activities. Less than a mile to walk to Navy Pier, Millennium Park, fabulous restaurants, speakeasy's, 360 Chicago. The rooms are so clean. Room service every day. They are redoing the lobby right now- it looks like it will be wonderful. The rest of the entrance, lobby, bar and restaurant are so nice. I highly recommend staying at the Royal Sonesta River North- and get thr view room!!!!! One thing of note -the price difference of what Expedia quoted for the stay and what was charged was 100$ a day difference. We stayed 3 days so 300$ was tagged on to what the projected price was supposed to be. Fine print of hotel fees. So did I save any money? NO. "

"This hotel stay was excellent. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was as comfortable and convenient as possible. The front desk concierge was always smiling and helpful and even texted me to make sure I was happy when I got to my room! He was available the entire time via text, so I didn't have to call down for anything. Room service was excellent and their car service worked out very well. Overall, the next time I'm in Chicago, I will definately stay here."

"This hotel was perfect for a quick vacation trip to Chicago. The staff was friendly and approachable, and they were happy to check us in early since we arrived hours before the scheduled time. I especially appreciated this because it was a cold 28°F (-2°C) kinda windy day! The room was clean and comfortable, with a microwave, small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, and TV. The Wi-Fi was great, and the toiletries were good quality and smelled nice. The hotel was also able to keep our luggages after check-out, while we went out to go to a few more places before our scheduled evening departure time. The location was excellent. It was directly in front of many restaurants (Morton’s, Perilla Steakhouse), and there were coffee shops and food places just a few blocks away. There was also a clean 7-Eleven across the street, which I felt safe to go to for basic supplies like water (We went around 8 AM and 8 PM). We were able to walk to many of the attractions in the area, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, and other museums, within about 10ish minutes. We also walked to Union Station, which we got to in about 20-25 minutes at a comfortable pace. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient."
