The pictures on their web site and their address to chech in implies that this hotel is at the top of the mountain, but it is actually about 6 miles down the mountain. a bit disappointing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. ample parking. my kids really liked the breakfast buffett.

Off the grid!
Out of the way place that was close to Cass scenic railway. No cell service but it was nice to get away from it all. Hardly anyone there when we went was the off season for skiing. It was nice to have the pool to ourselves. Not too much to eat near by. We did goto a buffet style place up route 219 about 6 miles that the front desk told us about. Food was awesome but not cheap at $19 a head. Kids were free though. The staff at breakfast was awesome and very friendly. Food was good but only open for breakfast. Subway around the corner as a last resort. Place is in need of a update but it is clean and comfortable.

Time for major renovation
The hotel was built in the 70's and the age is definitely showing. You can smell the stuffiness in the hallway despite the hardworking two humidifers. The bedding / mattress lacks firmness. Would not recommend this hotel.

A pleasant surprise!
The Inn at Snowshoe was a pleasant surprise! It was much nicer than it appeared in the website photos and an excellent value. The front desk clerk warmly greeted us when we arrived and then telephoned our room a short time later to be sure everything was to our satisfaction. Our room was tastefully decorated and the beds, although only full size, were very comfortable. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed a delicious continental breakfast each morning. The dining room was large and the lady working was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The hotel is located at the base of Snowshoe Mountain and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. It has a nice size swimming pool and two large jacuzzi's. There is no cell phone service but telephone calls can be made directly to and from the telephone in each guest room and there are two areas in the lobby with internet access. There is a small sub/pizza shop directly across the street and although the service was slow, the pizza and subs were delicious and well worth the wait. (Be sure to check out the attached gift shop and the unique furniture and accessories upstairs.) There is also a Subway not far from the hotel. A small library is in the Visitors Center next door. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends.

The activities for the kids in the village and the pool were very nice. The restaurants (the junction and the Foxfire Grill) were reasonable and delicious. The only complaint I had was the bed- it was too low to the ground and too soft.

Snowshoe is so much fun! I stayed in expeditation station, the room was small with a tiny kitchenette but for the price it was great. And being able to walk out and go skiing is awesome. I would totally stay here again!

Wonderful Time
We had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice. The restaurant food was excellent and so were the waitresses. They had a hot breafdast buffet that was great before yu went up the mountain to ski. The bus driver was a great guy. He made sure you got to where you needed to go. All in all we had a great time. Staff, rooms, mountain top was great. Thing we didn't like was how far away it was, this is a very remote place. Walmart is 67 miles away. Make sure you bring everything you need. No stores that are close for shopping.

Great for the price!
This hotel was a pleasant surprise after reading the reviews here! I figured that for the price I could put up with the inconveniences, but it turned out to be a great stay. The hotel is very close to the slopes even if it is at the base of the mountain. The restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. Overall a great place to stay at less than half the price of all the other snowshoe hotels.

Room heating unit was loud, we asked for a king bed but bed in room was not a king , we did not realize the size of the bed until it was too late at night to change rooms. Snowshoe is beautiful and weather was great . Overall we would come back just would check out the room very well first before we go out for the evening.

a really good deal
the rooms and bathrooms are really nice and really big! moreover the breakfast offers a big range of different things - so everyone will find something he likes. the hotel also has a pool which has a very nice design! although you are not in the center of the skiing area - the shuttelservice helps you to be at a skiing slope within some minutes. we really enjoyed our stay at the INN!

I would like to recommend this hotel to friends.
They big indoor swimming pool is a big plus after whole day ski. The complimentary breakfast has varieties of choices, including scrambled eggs, sausages, bacons, meat sauce, breads, apple or orange as fruit, and some drinks.

bottom of the mountain snowshoe
Hotel was a little out of date great stay came with day fun pass to ride ski lift, paddle boats, movie and popcorn, and couple other things I just don't remember only problem I had was I kept running out of hot water but hotel cut price of room in half not a bad trade just for future reference stay on the top of the mountain may be a little more but worth it but the older hotel at the bottom of the mountain had a great breakfast buffet, pool, hot tub, restaurant, bar, and a gift shop not bad though
