Nice place, but had some hiccups
First off, the host was very attentive, responsive, and hospitable. I really appreciated how quickly they worked to answer questions or resolve concerns. There were, unfortunately, some hiccups.
1. The property was listed as a 3BR when we booked, with only 2BR in reality. The listing was updated during our stay. So we came thinking more people would have more privacy.
2. The property was unsecured when we arrived. The front door was unlocked and I was able to open it without disengaging the key-code lock.
3. There were some cleanliness issues: dog hairs embedded in the towels provided, stains on towels, animal and human hairs on clean linens, dirty skillet, fork with some kind of purple paint on the tines, hairs on some of the silverware, and a few small bugs on the glass surface inside the fridge and in the common area bathtub.
4. There was a piece of metal, likely from an electrical plug, stuck into and exposed from the wall outlet to the left of the kitchen sink.
5. Check-in/out: no info was provided without first asking for it. No instructions were provided by email or through the app. Figured out the WiFi network and password combo through trial and error. Luckily noticed the single page check out instructions on the side of the fridge, so we had an idea for how to prep the place for departure.
We had a great weekend, but are disappointed with the overall experience. Inaccurate listing and unsecured property are not insignificant details.
