With its subtle western theme and custom touches throughout, this home is perfectly located for both summer and winter adventures. Curl up by the wood-burning fireplace with a lava rock hearth, gaze at the view of the surrounding woodlands through a wall of windows with lovely southern exposure, and enjoy access to fantastic shared amenities that include swimming pools, hot tubs, a steam room, tennis courts, a spa, and paved trails and bike paths.

This home is centrally located in Black Butte Ranch, near the South Meadow Pool, the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, and 18 miles of paved walking/biking paths that highlight the beautiful high desert landscape. Tee off at the Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow Golf Courses on-site, head over to Black Butte Stables for guide-led trail rides, or take a 32-mile drive into Bend to explore the bustling downtown area and sample a few local brews. In winter, you can snowshoe or cross country ski around the resort, or make the 20-mile drive to Hoodoo Ski Resort for prime downhill skiing and snowboarding. Around the holidays, you can stay in or head out to The Lodge Restaurant for a special meal with all the trimmings.

Shortcomings of house.
No internet not TV. Maintenance could not restore for three weeks. Patio screen door hinge was unattached due to loose screws( all three of them) . Could not close it. Agent who we contacted regarding internet etc. Old us about some reimbursement for this. Would like to know more about this. Also bed in downstairs are so bad that I had back pain every morning

Great House but Poor Black Butte Process
Enjoyed our stay at this house. I dinged the Black Butte process since our access code expired a day early and I got locked out of the ranch while taking our garbage and recyclables to the transfer facility. Big pain in the butt on check-out day.

Nice quiet retreat in the woods
Loved the fireplace, grill, and access to the hot tub. Very clean, kitchen was well stocked and plenty of firewood & linens. Initial issues with hot water and the fact that the house was 50deg when we arrived brings this down to 4 stars

Cute house and great location just very old. The floor squeaked horribly. If your in the downstairs bedroom you’ll here every time someone moves upstairs with squeaking floor boards. Pots and pans very old. Someone left a burnt log and ashes in the fireplace then closed up the cabin. Upon arrival the house stunk like burnt smoky logs. Had to clean it out ourselves and air out the house to get the smokiness out. Disappointing

A luxurious but comfortable home. Our favorite feature was the view out the living room window of Ponderosa pines and not of other houses. It felt quite private. Especially nice fireplace, beds, seating and dining table. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of firewood stacked beside the deck.

Our Family had a wonderful winter getaway at the home. It is clean and as described. Our children, ages 5, 2 and 2 thought the best part of the trip was hanging out at the house despite all of the great things that Black Butte offers. Would recommend for any family.

Great home and location, concerns with cleanliness
This house was perfect for our family of four. It had everything we needed and we loved the location in Black Butte. We were concerned with the cleanliness of the home. When we arrived there was hair and left behind razor parts in the shower. There was left behind perishable food in the refrigerator. The extra blankets were covered with dog and human hair (in a home that doesn’t allow pets.) This might have been an inconvenience during normal times, but made us extra concerned about the cleaning protocol for COVID-19. We were uncertain since those things had been missed if the rest of the house was cleaned and disinfected well. We had to do quite a bit of cleaning ourselves to ensure safety.

Awesome family cabin
First time in Black Butte and this cabin was a great fit for our family of 5! The couches were SUPER comfy and there was plenty of room for us all to relax. Loved sitting at the fire and watching the squirrels. Only downside was the mattress upstairs in the bedroom closest to the bathroom really hurt my back to sleep on (and I never get back pain). We made the kids sleep on it and they seemed fine! Definitely a great vacation. We want to come back when there isn’t snow!
