Had a carvery at the Cider barn restaurant about 5 min drive away and we drove into Weston Super Mare (20 mins) and got wristbands for the pier and did ice skating. "We were all very impressed with the place, for a huge property it was exceptionally clean everywhere and filled with everything you need. Bigger with some older style rooms, it gave a great feel for hide and seek. It provided a good base for all of us to hang out together whilst giving some space, great for games and a couple walks in the area. We really enjoyed our cold pond dips followed by warming up in the hot tub. This was already warmed up for us on arrival and lots of wood and starters...

"Initial check in was a bit hostile but the other receptionist made up for it! Room was ready early the room was clean and comfy. The spa and leisure facilities were great and the gym very well equipped. We didn’t eat in the bistro as it shuts early on a Monday but went to a lovely nearby pub. The grounds are beautiful in the hotel and worth a wonder. The car park seems pricey at £10 a night but the breakfast was stunning. Overall very pleased. "

"When booking other hotel stays for 5 of us, we have had to book two separate rooms. Not at Holiday Inn Express Taunton. We had one room for all five of us which was exceptionally sized and we all had plenty of space within the room. It is a budget hotel and the price should reflect expectations, however, we were immensely impressed with our stay, boosted even more so with breakfast being included. We will consider staying again if we are ever in the area again!"
