Big home that needs to be updated.
The home was big enough to accommodate my family members, however the refrigerator was broke from the beginning of our stay. Despite being told it would be fixed and never was. The bedding was old and mattresses were very old. One of the toilets never flushed. The pool table couldn’t be used due to a huge tear in it.

The cabin was spacious and beautiful, however it definitely needs a deep clean and a refresh. For such a big, pricey cabin, you'd expect to have updated furniture and mattresses. The couches on the main level look and felt like they were from a yard sale. The mattresses also were very old and uncomfortable. There was some dog poop on the back porch when we checked in and there was a butter knife left by the control panel of the hot tub because you couldn't turn on anything digitally so I'm guessing this is what previous guests tried to use to get it to work. The panel was broke so you couldn't adjust the heat, the jets, anything. The refrigerator was leaking water from the inside and this was apparently known BEFORE our check in because maintenance called to replace it on our 2nd or 3rd day without our knowing and coming into the cabin without our knowledge while we were gone. This should've been taken care of prior to our arrival. The name of the cabin should also be renamed as their aren't hardly any views to speak of.

Cool mountain cabin...needs some attention
The good: Our family of 12 had a great time visiting the Smokeys. There were decks for days and the views were five stars. We saw bears on three separate occasions so that was pretty awesome. We also got plenty of use out of the hot tubs, so no complaints there! The bad: We knew we were booking a cabin, not the Four Seasons, however, with how much we paid I was very with disappointed several items inside the home. The pool table was missing 3 balls. The dishwasher only utilized the soap tab every third wash or so. The linens on the beds were ridiculously old and worn down. I don't need Egyptian linen, but maybe a trip to Target, Home Goods, or Amazon, every year or two to refresh would be nice when you're charging as much as you do. What really irked me the most, though, was although the house is billed as accommodating 16, the pots, pans and bowls in the kitchen do not reflect that. We made spaghetti one night and I had to boil 3 boxes of pasta one-by-one because there was no large stock pot. And then I had to mix and serve the pasta on a deep cookie sheet because there was only one-biggish plastic bowl but we had already made a salad in it. However, there is a drawer full of lids, so at one point the kitchen must have been fully stocked. It's clear that no one - the owner nor the rental agency - has bothered to take inventory of the kitchen in several years. Also, the kitchen lacks basic starter spices such as salt, pepper, and olive oil, that you'll typically find at rental properties, so you'll need to bring those along with any large pots and pans if you plan to do any sort of cooking. FYI the house is about 20 minutes from town so it takes a while just to to get ANYWHERE, but we sort of knew that going in and were never in a hurry. You just need to plan accordingly. In spite of my complaints about the house we had a great time! We went whitewater rafting on the Upper Pigeon River through SMO rafting, booked a couple of pontoon boats and took the kids tubing on Douglas Lake via Smoky Mountain H2O Sports, went ziplining at Anakeesta in Gatlinburg, and did some hiking in Smoky Mountain National Park. Also highly recommend the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster (kids and adults loved it). It's only about 20 minutes from the house AND there's a Groupon :)

Disappointment from the start
As soon as we pulled up we saw at the small cabin that the water hose was left in the hottub with water overflowing and underneath the deck looked like a waterfall. ONLY to turn out that the hottub didn't even work. Which was a shame because that small cabin was for my son and his wife as a special thing for them cause he just got back from his deployment. NOW... the big cabin the two bedrooms downstairs smelled like propane so bad that we had to open the doors to the deck just to air them out. The knob on one the bathtubs were broke and hard to cut water off. One picture frame glass was broken, kitchen cabin wouldn't even close and two cabinet doors were broken. Inside frig leaked, some kind of powder detergent or something was on the side of bathtub. Thank goodness my dog didn't eat it. All the remotes were placed in different bedrooms. The large living room windows were nasty like they haven't been cleaned in forever and the cobwebs.... not small but large. The stones at the fireplace looks horrible. The blinds in the kitchen was missing a big chunk of blinds. All I wanted was a NICE get away for my family to relax after our father died and son returning from deployment but it was honestly a big disappointment. It's bad when you sit down on your first night and cry in front of your family and tell them your sorry and that this isn't what you had in mind. Even the outside had roof tin everywhere. It was trashy and the smell of the septic tank was the icing on top. Just bad inside and out!!!!!

Cabin was nice and clean. The property around the cabin was not. Looks like recent work had been done to the roof and scrap metal roof panels were laying around on the property along with some garbage. All in all a great stay and nice cabin.

Great for the price
So this is a large cabin and then there’s a small one directly beside it. You have the option to rent A, B, or both as “main home”. We rented main home. I stayed in the small cabin (B). For the location, it was really high up which is where you want to be if you want a view. The view was awesome!!!! Sunrises sunsets hot tubs. We didn’t see any bears. The parking was easy, the pool was closed because it’s march but this cabin is pretty close to the pool if you’re planning on staying during the warmer months. You weren’t 100% secluded from other cabins but it felt that way because of the switchbacks and trees. For the price, this was a good stay! The hot tubs were clean. Shower water was hot. Cabins were clean (I’m even picky). And check out was easy, they didn’t expect you to start laundry or take our garbage or anything. Wi-Fi was great at both cabins. We even had phone signal with att and Verizon. Now I’ll go onto the more negative side of things but please know that I am boujie and have stayed at really nice places. The mattresses weren’t good and tvs were small. The carpet couldn’t stand to be replaced. Cabin B was really small (it was cheap though so I shouldn’t have expected a mansion) and to use the main light, the ceiling fan would run. The bed wasnt comfortable, we only had a top sheet and thin fleece blanket but plenty of pillows, and water pressure in the shower wasn’t good (I’m on a mountain though). The steps were a little difficult at cabin B, they are angled downward and steep (elderly would have trouble). In cabin A, people agreed the beds weren’t comfortable and both floors ran off of the same unit/thermostat. So the upstairs was a little hotter than comfortable and the downstairs bedrooms were like ice boxes. Also there’s no bathroom in the cabin that isn’t in a bedroom. It’s obvious on here and I even went through the 3d layout multiple times but I somehow missed that. Overall I would absolutely recommend this cabin for a large group on a budget. We love pigeon forge and visit 2-3x year. We went to the wax museum and it was really fun, also went to Smoky Mountain Knife Works. We tried Outback this time because all the local restaurants were crowded. Our favorite is Paula Dean’s though. We went to an ice cream place in the area behind the Island but there’s a lot of different ice cream places in pigeon forge to choose from.

A great vacation house.
The house is beautiful and nice view. Very clean. Lots of space. We only have trouble finding the house because the sign of the number were broken , so took us back and forth to find the right house. It was not easy to go back up.

Majestic View and extra cabin
This was a great set up for our large family group. Plenty of beds in the main cabin. The small cabin was great for us (Grandma and Grandpa) to retreat to for some quiet time. It was nice that it's fairly close to the pool too. The pool was great and had a great view.

Beautiful Place
This cabin is a beautiful place with a wonderful view. The unit was clean and comfortable and made the perfect setting for myself and my five brothers and sisters to have a fun and relaxing reunion. The cabin could use a few minor repairs but nothing that interfered with our trip. The cabin has many clever signs and sayings throughout that were entertaining and added to the ambiance of the country feel. We saw several bears right outside of the cabin and several nice sunsets. The drive up to the cabin was fun and for my sister from the flat state of Fl somewhat scary. We would all highly recommend that cabin would come back if the opportunity presented.

Week long family getaway
This was the perfect getaway spot for our family. We absolutely loved our time here. Our group contained 6 adults and 4 young children (under age 4). The main cabin is very spacious and welcoming. Lots of open glass to see the beautiful surroundings. The detached cabin was very cute, private and only a short path off the main cabin, with an equally impressive view. The upstairs rec area was nice for the little ones to run around. We really loved the location of the cabin. Very cool drive up to the top!

Disliked: Communication
Great cabin but needs maintenance
Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite the many irritating things that needed updating or maintenance: replace non-stick cookware, get a new fridge (the shelves on the door are all busted and fall out), some potholders (there were none) and dishtowels, turn off the hot water faucet on the deck that is constantly running, clean the carpets and sofas , fix the wires from the speakers to the tuner in the loft and get a DVD player instead of a VCR, improve wifi if possible (it was slow and weak), put a sink with countertop or table in MBa so personal items don't have to be on floor, fix blinds, leave instructions for operating remotes & removing trash, fix the door handle on the wet bar mini-fridge, close the unsafe open gap at the top of the stairs, get steps to access the hot top, replace missing or burnt out lights, need more flatware and a couple of bigger knives (boning and chef).

Nice stay in the Smokies
We had a great time at this property! We had nine adults with five kids and we felt like we had our space and weren’t crowded. The property feels secluded and it’s quiet around the property. We saw bears several times during our stay. We had a mama bear with three cubs come up on our porch. Very cool! We loved how each room had a balcony and felt private. Also, there is a in-law suite that is detached from the cabin. It is fully equipped and is very private with its own hot tub. We had a great stay here and would stay here again.
