Don’t get fooled by the rating and comments on the internet. They did not inform that heavy construction is in progress and that they have no air conditioning in the rooms which they blatantly lie about on their advertisements. It is dirty and noisy with forklift trucks moving in our pathways. They charge you for every penny. 10000 KRW for every hour of late checkout. But when they don’t deliver on their advertised amenities they just told me there is no AC because it is getting colder in Seoul. The rooms are very small, warm and stuffy. Extremely rude and non-courteous staff who cannot speak a sentence in English.

Very clean and sleek and modern looking. Staff was very polite. Having 24hr laundry on the ground floor is nice. It’s a small and condensed accommodation but that’s exactly what I needed and knew going into it.

Very close to public transport and within walking distance to tourist spots. However, as noted in previous reviews, reception desk on level 2 and no security needed to enter level one on street so anyone could access any floor. Staff were lovely and helpful throughout stay, English was very good. Safes available at reception but not in room, big enough for documents but not big enough for iPad with case on. Room was perfect size for one person, mattress took a bit of getting used to as very firm, however, aware this is normal for a lot of Asian countries. Would recommend this hotel to others

The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our room was tiny for 3 people with 3 large suitcases but to be fair we did not stay for the day anyway and the best part was the room was cleaned everyday so it’s nice to come back to the room smelling fresh. Also, they gave us bottled water to drink. The hotel is convenient to tourists like us as there are bus stops and train stations that are walkable. Coffee shops and restaurants are around the hotel too. Will definitely recommend Hotel Kuretakeso.

Great location, Responsive staff, Clean
Very helpful staff. Rooms were clean. The AC didn't seem to work but the window was avle to be opened so the stay was fine. The wifi didn't work as well but they gave us a different network sonit was good. Internet was slow to load. Otherwise great location. Definitely would stay again!

This hotel is not worth staying at. I was there 10 days and my sheets were not changed. They refused to call a cab. My room looked at a wall. Breakfast is skippable. There is no security, anyone can access guest floors. Elevators are insufficient for the size so you wait many minutes.

This was a very clean hotel in a nice neighborhood. We enjoyed all the shopping options around the hotel. There were plenty of small shops and really nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. We were well taken care of here and appreciated all of the staff. It was a really pleasant stay.

Electric outlets require an adapter to accommodate US type plugs. The adapters do not fit tight and must be wedged with something (used folded paper) in order to make contact and allow electricity to flow. The area of Insadong has some good shopping and restaurants.

Nice hotel, located in popular Insadong shopping area. Rooms on the small side, but ok. Odd arrangement with front desk on second floor. Made us wonder about security. It seems anyone could enter the building on the first floor and access elevators to any floor. At night though, a room key is required to enter the hotel.
