« We wanted a place that was private, quiet and peaceful, and this rental turned out to be the perfect choice! The view of the countryside from our patio went on for miles. Always had a nice breeze! The farm animals were fun to watch, and the dogs were sweet and friendly. Our apartment was fresh and clean, and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very well stocked, if you want to cook at home. The drive into Shiner is quick and easy. We highly recommend this vacation rental. »

« Property was easy to get to, the strung lights in the yard was a nice touch as we arrived after dark. Nice setting, with big back porch and chairs on a nicely mowed large yard. The house was nice, ample beds for my husband, my 2 sons & myself, comfortable, amazing antiques. IF I had more time, it would have been a beautiful float to the park stated in the info. « Super cute house out in the country. The owner had great communication and instructions. My Golden loved exploring the area. She had fun chasing bunnies and interacting with the cows and talking a long morning walk. Thanks again Travis for a great stay and hope we left the house organized and neat. « We celebrated my husbands 80 th birthday. Family joined us from East and West coasts. The party barn saved the day when we had some heavy rains the first couple days. Later when the skies cleared we played the tourist in Columbus and everyone enjoyed the little shops and learning about local Texas history. »

« We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest. »
