"This hotel is modern snd quirky. Very pretty interior. Best dog friendly hotel we have been to, lots of space for you not on top of others and there dogs. Everyone very friendly. Restaurant and cocktail bar where u can take your dog in all areas, dog showering area was amazing and clean. Right next to the beach. Food was lovely and staff was so friendly and attentive to our dog that was nervous. We recommend a stay and we are looking at booking to go back and try the one in Peak District also. Thank you for a fab stay. They put two toys and a dog mat for our dog to lay in, 😊 "

"This is one of my favourite hotels to stay in Scarborough despite it being owned by the Britannia group of hotels . Where I live there is a lot of bigotry towards LGBTQI + people so I decided to take a break away from local bigots for a few days The lovely reception person saw how stressed and tired I was and as I love a high floor I was upgraded to the Gordon Suite, room 502 on the very top floor of the hotel . Bar a television without an antenna or a remote in the bedroom I had an excellent stay away from people in order to get my stress levels down . I enjoyed the upgrade and was well away from others which was just what I needed. Stayed many times at the Royal and I’d recommend it over the sister hotel the Grand ."

"We had a lovely comfortable stay. We did have to clean the bathroom a little as few hairs on the bath and toilet had brown water in the bottom but apart from that it was lovely. We had robes in the wardrobes, toiletries and plenty of towels. The coffee pod machine is a nice touch. Overall hotel was clean as you could be for its size ! We really enjoyed our stay thank you "

"We enjoyed our stay at Raven Hall immensely. The hotel in Ravenscar has an absolutely amazing position overlooking the bay, cliffs and beyond. We had a lovely warm room with sea view which was very comfortable and roomy. All staff very friendly and helpful, plus the buffet breakfast is brilliant. We have been a few times now and will definitely return."

"Very enjoyable stay. Only problem was parking. Long way to walk to the car park with bags, especially when you have mobility problems. Other than that stay was lovely and David was very helpful and friendly. As an ex resident of Scarborough all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. "

"Lovely hotel - we had the executive double with sea view - very comfortable king size bed, nice white bed and bathroom linen, large room with two bucket chairs and great sea view, tea/coffee, lovely clean bathroom with very hot water and great shower. Excellent breakfast and bar snacks. All staff from cleaning, reception, bar and breakfast room extremely friendly and helpful. Didn’t use the spa but looked nice and very popular. Paid for parking at back of hotel but TBH the parking at the front also seemed very safe. Would definitely revisit."
