Modern Wisconsin Beach House on Brekke Lake

Enjoy this newly updated, fully furnished, two-bedroom heated lakefront home on Brekke Lake in Waupaca County, WI. This spacious upper level sleeps six with a master bedroom (king bed) and private bathroom, a guest bedroom (queen bed), and a brand new pull-out queen sofa in the living room. This beautiful country vacation getaway is surrounded by flower gardens, a large lawn, a private dock, and equipped with plenty of parking. Enjoy boating, swimming, and fishing on the calm, no-wake lake. Brekke Lake is a 46 acre and 25-foot deep lake. It is renowned for its crystal clear water and fantastic fishing of Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Ideal for paddle-boarding, kayaking (available), fishing, a cruise on a pontoon boat (public boat landing/private docking), or ice fishing in the winter. The shoreline has a solid sand-bottom great for swimming or a dock to lounge on or jump off of. We are conveniently located just two hours north of Milwaukee/Madison and 3.5 hours from either Chicago or Minneapolis. There is a fire pit ready for s'mores and relaxing, an outdoor eating area, and lawn chairs. Guest can access the balcony from both the master bedroom and the living room. This is the perfect getaway during any season.

Beautiful place amazing location
I grew up going to a small lake in Alban so decided to bring my family to this property/ lake in a nearby town and I’m so glad I did. We had an amazing time! The place was beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly need. It’s super close to Iola which is the cutest little town with a great ice cream spot! Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful lake view
We enjoyed the open living space and well stocked kitchen. The beds were comfortable but the sleeper sofa was not! We all enjoyed the kayaks and canoe. Our grandsons loved fishing off the dock. The sunsets were amazing! A very wonderful, relaxing place to stay.

Family Getaway
We very much enjoyed our stay. The lake was very quiet which allowed us to enjoy a loon on two occasions and a bald eagle fishing near us on several occasions. Kayaks were appreciated and there were plentiful smaller fish from the pier to keep everyone busy. The home was nicely decorated, kitchen was very well stocked (almost better than ours!), and almost everything we needed was supplied. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at the lake. Thank you!

Perfection!
This place is so good. The house was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. The lake is clear and quiet, perfect for swimming and fishing. We caught a lot of fish from the dock and out in the canoe. We saw deer, turtles, a woodchuck, and many different birds. There are a variety of outdoor seating options and a nice fire pit overlooking the lake. One of those places you want to tell people about but also kind of want to keep secret.

Another Good Stay!
We returned this summer for another great family vacation. It was so relaxing swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. The water is warm enough to swim and the fish are plenty. When it rained, we played games inside the beautiful house! We'd recommend staying here.

Lovely cottage on a beautiful and quiet lake
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at the Red Fox Retreat. We had unseasonably warm weather for November and spent much of our time outside. The property is lovely and so very quiet. We cooked some meals and enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen. Everything is very cozy and comfortable and I’m sure will be back again!

Love This Place
Lovely and quiet location with much wildlife provides a very relaxing getaway. The little people caught lots of tiny fish from the dock with bread crumbs and nets. The lake is perfect for kayaking, tubing, and paddle boards. We thoroughly enjoyed the large fire pit overlooking the water and the large back yard. The charming house is very clean and well stocked. This was our second family visit and we will definitely return.

Great Place on the water
The house was updated and clean. The lake was superb for fishing and we all caught fish easily -lots of bluegill. The water was warm for swimming and floating. We even made one of the 1000 piece puzzles there during a rainy day. We would go back next summer!

Quiet and Calm which is what we wanted.
We had a peaceful time at the property. I was able to work remotely while my wife and daughter watched a move. Did a quick drive to Appleton and spent the day there and head a great time. Would defiantly come back
