Dog Friendly! Stunning 3400 square foot home with two levels of deck space offering a spectacular long-range Mountain view! This upscale 3BR 3.5bath home sits on 2 acres on a quiet gravel road and has a new paved driveway. It is surrounded by undisturbed private acres in a natural setting that is especially beautiful at sunset. With 3 levels and sleeping accommodations for up to 6 adults and 4 children, this is a terrific place for a family gathering or a Highlands weekend getaway. The main level includes a living room with French doors leading to the upper deck, a wood-burning fireplace, kitchen with a gas stove, and a dining area seating 6\. The master bedroom has a king bed, en suite bathroom and French doors leading out to a private screened deck with an outdoor dining table. Downstairs, a second living room with direct access to the garage allows extra space to entertain with TV, ping pong table, foosball table, and a kitchenette area that opens up to the lower deck. It also has a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and laundry room. Upstairs, the loft has two twin beds and a futon for extra sleeping. Also upstairs, a third bedroom has a king bed and full bathroom. Outside, there is a seated fire pit area to roast marshmallows, and enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets! Or if going out to dinner and shopping is more your speed, we are conveniently located 10 minutes from the restaurants at Highlands outpost, the Vineyard at High Holly, and Julep farms. And we are 20 minutes from the restaurants and shops at the historic downtown Clayton, GA, a Hallmark movie town! For the outdoor enthusiasts, we are 5-9 minutes from the Highlands Outpost, Highlands Aerial Park, and the Bartram trail, where you can experience the Scaly Mountain Screamer rollercoaster, Extreme Tubing Slide, Gem Mine, winter snow sledding , trout fishing, zip lining, terrific hiking, and RTV tours. The view at sunset is amazing, the house was clean, very spacious and updated, and the location is close to everything in the highlands and Clayton. The Glen falls hike was a great way to start the day on the way to Main Street. I also recommend the new Julep farms in Dillard which was great for brunch. Spacious, exceptionally clean, and well-stocked with everything needed. Ideal for neat freaks like me! Super comfortable. Loved having both indoor and outdoor fire options. The solo stove on the deck was perfect. The home offers great privacy with amazing mountain views and gorgeous sunsets. We had a fantastic stay. We had family come in town for our son’s graduation. It’s such a beautiful house tucked away with gorgeous views. It had plenty of space and it was at full capacity. We loved the dual decks and all the seating. I cooked dinner for everyone on the grill(which was clean and had 2 full propane tanks!) Everyone said that next trip up they wanted to stay here again. We received a reply stating that yes it was wheelchair accessible. Based that information we booked the property several weeks in advance. Upon arrival we found the main level, kitchen dinning room, bedroom etc., was on the second level and not wheelchair accessible. One must go up 14 steps on the inside or 16 steps on the outside to enter the main level. It was impossible for us to carry a wheelchair bound adult up those stairs. We tried calling the emergency contact provided but found their was no cell service or wi-fi in that area. We had no option but to make the 5 hour return trip home. During the return trip we were able to contact the emergency contact number and were told the property description stated (in the fine print) stated the only the lower level was wheelchair accessible. The only thing on the lower level was bedroom, game room and laundry room. The main point is we asked specifically about the main level and were told that it was wheelchair accessible and it was not. We thought it was reasonable to request a partial refund since no one stayed there there was no increase in utilities, no cleaning service needed and no service fee applicable, which totaled over 3 or 4 hundred dollars. We asked how to submit our request for refund several times and have not received any information. ##### Max M.
