"Gerardo was an amazing host. He responded quickly to any questions. The apartment was comfortable, very clean, well equipped and well maintained. A 5 minute walk to a bus stop where you could take a number of buses that would take you downtown. Or if you chose to walk a 20 minute walk to the Farmers Market. From the living room or front bedroom there was a beautiful view of the harbour and comings and goings of the cruise ships. "

"Part of a very small block of accommodation. Including the delightful owners. We stayed in the house which was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. We used the pool a couple of times, to please our 12 year old son ( a little chilly but it was February). We hired a car and was able to park in the owners car park. Beatriz the owner is very accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. Old Funchal is very close and has a very good selection of restaurants....

"We had a fabulous stay at Villa Cary at Easter 2024. The Villa is stunning and we enjoyed the views and the pool as well as the spacious and well appointed interior. As we had mixed weather during our stay the games room was also extensively used. The old town is a short if steep walk away and taxi back. We would thoroughly recommend this property and Ruben was also an excellent host."

"Superb hotel in a great location. Very clean bedrooms and all areas of the hotel. The breakfast was brilliant, with lots of choice. But the best thing to me are the staff, who are all VERY helpful and cheerful. You can have a lovely building, rooms, food etc, but if the staff aren't pleasant then it's not good. I have to say ALL the staff members i met were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. VERY LOVELY HOTEL. "

"Good communication with Carolina, close to the old town approx 15-20 min walk to cable car, there is a very steep walk back to the property. Unfortunately due to storm Oscar we weren’t able to use the pool. But the garden is surprisingly private. Property was clean and comfortable We used a taxi driver called Nuno, recommended by Carolina to collect us from the airport, he also took us on a lovely day tour around the north of the island, then back to the airport. "A great place to base an island exploring holiday. Clean, bright apartment, very friendly and helpful owner. A steep 30 minute walk into the city, but easy access by bus (less than 100 yards from property), local supermarket just 10 mins walk away. Off-street parking and quick access to main routes, and a short drive (15km) from/to the airport. There are three apartments so would be ideal for a group of couples who want a communal space but also their own privacy. "
