I love the restoration and renovation work the new owners have done. I originally stayed at the Gadsden back in December 2013 and just stayed for a second time in March 2025. There was a dramatic improvement! I'm happy that this grand hotel is being taken care of.
That being said -- there is one area for improvement. The room use window air conditioning units and that's fine but the curtains are very awkward. I hade to wrap the curtains over the unit to prevent light and people from the mezzaine terrance from inside the room.

The room was large and very clean, but the property had some maintenance issues. Internet was not working, there was no signal to the TV in the room, some outer doors could not be opened using the key card, some laundry and vending machines were out of order. We were told we could not get a price adjustment because we had booked through a third party.
