About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Cabin in the Meadow

Cabin in the Meadow is a newly constructed quaint & secluded custom cabin, hand crafted with love & timber off of our own land, where rustic primitive and modern technology meet. Tucked away overlooking the meadow and surrounded by fir trees, it’s the perfect little getaway.

We specifically designed our cabin for the comfort of two guests. Effortless check in and check out, our guests have no rules to follow upon departure.

Come to historic Sandpoint, Idaho and enjoy our adorable Cabin located a mere 1.5 miles from downtown and walking distance to Talus Rock Retreat.

Upon arrival, you will find a book we created of informative tips and some of our favorite places to dine and explore to help you enjoy all Sandpoint has to offer.

In downtown Sandpoint you can peruse local shops, coffee houses, the Panida Theater, amazing restaurants, City Beach and the clear waters of Lake Pend Oreille.

A scenic 30 minute drive will take you to Schweitzer Mountain Village, where there is everything from bluegrass festivals to huckleberry picking in the summer and world-class skiing in the winter.

The Festival at Sandpoint's Concert Series in late July through early August is an annual event not to be missed!

There are endless opportunities to sight-see, bike, boat, paddle board, kayak, swim, raft, hike, sail, ski, snowboard, snowshoe or just relax in our picturesque town.

We have uniquely decorated this cabin so that you feel warm & welcomed, and rest assured that cleanliness is of utmost importance.

Included: Outdoor fire pit & propane BBQ grill. New Gas Fireplace, Smart TV, free WIFI, Bose Bluetooth speaker, Keurig Duo coffee maker and coffee, microwave, puzzles, games, books, and many more things to make your stay memorable.

Chances are good that you will see Wild Turkey and Whitetail Deer, if you’re lucky a Moose and/or Black Bear may pass though. Please do not approach the wildlife.

Surveillance cameras are in place at the driveway entrance and on the parking spaces only.

We live onsite and are close enough to accommodate you quickly if there's anything you need, but far enough away you won’t be disturbed.

We'd love to have you be our guest!

Special Seasonal Notes: Fireplace: During the summer months we turn off the fireplace pilot light, if you desire to use the fireplace please let us know and we will be happy to relight it for you.

Driveway: During the winter months the steep driveway to cabin is well maintained, plowed & sanded. However, we highly recommend AWD vehicles.

Perfect in Every Way
Such a beautiful location with a charming cabin! We loved it from the moment we walked in! The host went above and beyond by leaving scones, chocolates and drinks out for us. We could have stayed there for a week and would still want more time there! Absolutely a piece of heaven! The trendy little town had so much to offer as well. Shops and food all within a couple of blocks so everything was accessible. My daughter and I enjoyed the hiking/biking/walking trails. We went on a run every morning and it views weee amazing!! There is a ski resort 25 minutes away and we rode the ski lift to the top twice and had dinner up there. Truly paradise!

Privacy galore!
The very best part of this property is the privacy. For all the introverts out there, this is the recharge you need! When you're sitting on the porch, you can't see any other houses, just that gorgeous meadow and woods. You can on occasion hear some traffic from a nearby road but even me who is sensitive to traffic noise didn't mind it. The only minus - nothing is perfect - is it's a bit dark inside though the kitchen is well-lit. I use a tablet for reading and such so I didn't mind but if you're one who needs light, bring your own because it's such a small thing compared to all the pluses.

AMAZING!!!!
This place exceeded our expectations! Very private and so cozy. The place is super clean and comfy. The owners literally thought of everything-scones, beer/wine, chocolates, bathrobes, firewood…everything was honestly perfect. We enjoyed a fire at night and had some deer visitors. Great location for hiking and restaurants. Great communication and we were even able to check in early. We have stayed at a lot of VRBOs and this was our favorite. Book it!!!

The Cabin in the Meadow was just what we needed and well worth the drive up from the Treasure Valley. If you're looking into other accommodations, do yourself a favor and just choose this adorable, well-appointed and decorated little cabin. It has everything you need to cook meals, relax by the firepit, barbecue and even a Smart TV in the bedroom. It is very quiet in this part of Sandpoint yet only a 10-minute drive into town and Lake Pend Oreille if you choose to go into town. The Selkirks and the Pack River are a short, beautiful drive. Make sure you eat at the Hoot Owl Cafe for breakfast at least once before you leave. We hope to be back!

Wow! Just WOW!
I needed a place to get away and relax for a night. This place did not disappoint. The serenity is palpable as soon as you arrive. Definitely cozy, but so perfect for a small family, or couple. Arrival/check-in was seamless and welcoming. Very clear instructions for how everything works and where things are located. The decor, the mattress/pillows, and the complementary touches were all wonderful and I loved how everything was labeled. I also love that I didn't have a checklist of things to do before checking out. 10/10 in my book and would absolutely love to stay here again.

Great location and cozy stay
The cabin is positioned a perfect 30 minute distance from the Schweitzer ski area, especially considering the majority of that 30 minutes is driving up the mountain itself. The inclusion of small amenities like farm fresh eggs and cabin slippers were excellent touches from gracious hosts. If you are looking to stay in the area, I highly recommend this cabin and would stay there again if the opportunity allows.

Comfy Cabin
We had the most amazing time staying in the Cabin in the Meadow. Our two boys loved the loft bed and the cabin size was comfy and perfect for our family. Every detail was thought of...from the little things you may have forgotten to fresh farm eggs and some local goodies. We loved the outdoor fire pit, sledding and feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere, but yet close enough to town and the ski mountain. The hospitality from the owners was great and we'd highly recommend this cabin! We greatly enjoyed our trip and hope to visit again soon!

Christmas at the Cabin in the Meadow
This was our second visit to the Cabin in the Meadow. It was just as wonderful as our first visit. The cabin is lovely as is the location. Rachael has the cabin tidy as a pin and it has all of the wares of home. Everything provided is so thoughtful and nice and she has a lovely talent of decor. She left treats (scones) and fresh eggs too. The cabin is close to Sandpoint and Schweitzer for shopping, dining and fun! So happy we were able to visit for Christmas as we hadn't had any plans and this made our holiday very special! Hoping to visit again someday! Thank you Rachael

We had a very lovely stay at the Cozy Cabin in Sandpoint. There are so many wonderful features and added touches that made this a place I’d love to return to.
