Welcome to your home-away-from-home in Salem, MO! This 3-bedroom, 2-bath updated cottage is the perfect retreat for families, friends, or couples. Dogs are our favorite guests!

✦Sleeping
The house has three bedrooms, each separated from the others. Two front bedrooms feature king-sized beds with quality hybrid mattresses for a great sleep. The third back bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a tempurpedic mattress, an ensuite bathroom and clawfoot tub. For extra flexibility, a full-sized air mattress and a portable crib are also available.

✦Baths
The front bathroom has a tub/shower combo with a curved shower rod and lots of toiletries available in the vanity. In the back bathroom located adjacent to the queen bedroom, you’ll find a vintage clawfoot soaking tub that’s ready for a relaxing bath.

✦Amenities
Feel right at home with tons of amenities. Our living room features an electric indoor fireplace for cozy evenings and a collection of our favorite board games. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for cooking, with modern appliances, ample counter space, and plenty of cookware. There is a fully fenced backyard, perfect for your four-legged friends, with a propane fire pit, a BBQ for grilling, and plenty of chairs. The cottage is fully supplied with toiletries and items you may need, so you can spend your time relaxing once you’re here.

We provide 100% cotton linens, premium mattresses, and hotel collection pillows for your best rest possible. The house is meticulously cleaned and maintained by your hosts personally. It's also perfume/artificial-scent-free.

Great stay
Our family had a great stay during our fishing trip. The house was clean and welcoming with nice, comfortable furnishings and decor, well stocked with kitchen utensils, toiletries and even snacks, and just blocks away from restaurants, coffee shops and more in Salem. Can't wait to stay again!

The house was perfect for an overnight with our dog while traveling. The house is so cute and very clean and has all of the essentials plus lots of extras if you forget anything. It has a fenced in back yard and even some dog mats and bowls. We loved our stay!

Perfect weekend getaway for float trip
We loved the space, very clean and comfortable beds! Six of us came down for a float trip from Cedar Grove to Akers Ferry and this was the perfect spot for non-campers. Everything was super clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware so we were easily able to make our own meals. Would definitely return!

Our Go-To in Salem!
After trying other lodging options in the area, the Simply Salem Cottage quickly became the only place we stay when we visit Salem. Cute, cozy, conveniently located to the (growing!) downtown, it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Sarah and her family are incredible hosts, and even our dogs love visiting and playing in the fenced-in yard! I’d love to keep this place a secret so we always have it to ourselves, but I can’t recommend the Simply Salem Cottage enough!

The house is so cute, and immaculate. The kitchen is roomy and the host provides some essentials. The beds are very comfortable and the a/c works great. The location is close enough for day trips to the Current and Jacks Fork rivers for floating or swimming. The host is quick to respond. Love the checkout process. We will be back.

Perfect Place to Stay!
We were in Missouri for 5 nights visiting family and the Simply Salem Cottage was absolutely the perfect place to stay. It was super clean, had a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a great fenced in back yard for the dogs. It was very hot when we visited so the AC was greatly appreciated. Sarah's response time to our inquires was immediate. We will definitely be looking to stay again next time we come back to Salem!

Sweet Spot!
Five of us traveled to Salem from St. louis surrounding areas to celebrate a heavenly birthday and cancer surgery success with a float trip. We typically stay in hotels outside of Salem but opted for this rental instead and we were not disappointed. This sweet little spot was unexpectedly well stocked, super clean, the beds were so comfy and it truly felt like being at home. The backyard was a bonus for our fur babies. Sarah was quick to respond to my inquiry before booking and was beyond accommodating. Don't hesitate to book, you will love it too!

Restorative Quaint Cottage
Sarah and her family have provided a level of hospitality we've not experienced before with other VRBO stays. Consideration for their clients stay has been well thought through. Chilled water, snacks, storage bags, plastic wrap, tea coffee, creamer. Fully stocked kitchen. Everything was clean, SPOTLESS! Soft White Hotel grade linens, Plush towels. House was visually pleasing as well. Sarah has an eye for decorating. Typically first night I struggle to sleep. Bed, bedding very comfortable. House is quite deceiving from the outside, very spacious, layout insures privacy for all occupants. Neighborhood was quite. We would absolutely stay again.
