Old Hotel, Generally Good, Room Description Issues
The Room was described as a Triple Room with three twin beds. We, fairly naiively given the room cost, thought this meant three bedrooms each with twin beds; to the hotel what it meant was a single room with three single beds. As we were two men and a woman, with no partners invoIved, this wasn't ideal. We immediately complained but as there were three of us the hotel manager had trouble understanding our issue, "how many beds did we need?". We are adults, friends and scuba divers (used to getting changed in UK cars, toilets etc) so we just got on with it.
I want to be clear the staff were fine, I believe it was just a translation issue.
An old hotel it has no lift. WiFi was available but flaky and was replaced by a new system; this led to a charge (2 euros per day) being introduced. The hotel is on the main road with the taxi stand opposite, it got very noisy at times in the early hours. The location means the hotel is well positioned for the restaurants, bars and night life.
The buffet breakfast was good, there was a selection of cereals, yoghourt, fresh rolls (both plain and sweet), thin ham, spreadable cheese, freshly hard boiled eggs, bananas, cake etc as well as fruit juice, coffee and a selection of teas. No restriction on going back.
