"We chose this property for the reasonable price and proximity to Puy du Fou and it served us well. It is well equipped for cooking (we made 2 dinners) and there a is great selection of food nearby at the Super U. It is especially quiet at night which we appreciated. Somehow I neglected to include our grandson when making the reservation but Jocelyn was most gracious and accommodating of my mistake. "The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. "This is the quietest holiday on record for us and we always look for quiet locations. The house is a charm and François and Claudine made for the most hospitable hosts. The Vendée has so much to offer and we loved the safe cycling on flat roads using the bikes that came with the property. It’s about an hour to La Rochelle and in east reach of many delightful villages. Highly recommended"

"We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with)."
