"For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return. "Lovely classic old French house, slightly out of town (very short drive, OK walk) with great pool, top quality table football, table tennis, nice furnishings. One bedroom off by the pool, for better or worse. Riberac is a quiet but nice town, and the house is near the river, across from a small village with a friendly cafe - closed for part of August. "Helpful host who adjoins the property so any issues easily resolved as they are on hand. Was very hot when we stayed and although fans provided it made sleeping in the mezzanine very warm. The pool was a welcome relief and kept spotlessly clean by the host who shut it down each evening and cleaned each day. Lovely welcome ‘basket!’ of wine, bread, pizza etc. great location to visit Saint Emilion, Bergerac etc and lots of fabulous markers. Would stay again"

"The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. "We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....
