Best location to Silver Beach, an easy walk even with a few things to carry. Some folks drive down and unload without having to pay the parking fee; kids and accessories at the beach while one parent parks at hotel and makes the walk back. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

The property has been updated a lot. Much nicer than it used to be. There was definitely a stray hair stuck to the shower wall but aside from that, our room was spotless, and we definitely will be back.

Staying at Silver Beach Hotel was very enjoyable. The staff was very helpful and it was very easy to park in this downtown area. We loved having a view of Lake Michigan as well as being able to enjoy walking on the Bluff / experiencing downtown St. Joe without having to move our car. The breakfast was very basic, however, without a lot of choices. We ended up going to one of the many coffee shops in the area.

Property was pretty clean. It’s not the fanciest, but you’re also not here to hang out in a hotel. For the price in the area, it was great. Staff were very nice. The breakfast is just as plain as they state, but plenty of Good breakfast places around. If you’re looking for a good, clean, convenient place to stay that won’t break the bank, this is it. You could certainly find fancier places in the area, but you’d be looking at either a far less convenient location or a much higher price. Since my wife and I come to spend time at the beach and shops, this hotel is perfect.

While the room was clean, everything seemed to work and the staff was always friendly, the smell on the hallways was terrible, and definitely the cleaning staff would need special hours not to overcrowd the elevators with their stuff. The breakfast room could use some improvements and faster restocking, especially for busy days such as past weekend (July 4th). The location is very good.

The hotel was clean. In the middle of renovation so pool and lounge were a few weeks from being ready and there was a strong paint smell in the hallway's. We are happy that Silver Beach Hotel has reopened. For the price the location is a definite plus. Will definitely return.

The hotel is obviously foreign owned. It was hard to find English speaking staff. However, the lady that checked us in was local and excellent. The rooms are outdated and not as clean as we'd prefer. The shower took several minutes to get warm water. The TV was analog and terrible. The best part of this hotel is the location, as it sits just across the street from the shopping and food district.

Staff were friendly and location is great for visiting the surrounding area. Place was recently sold and renovated, but it's still a work in progress. Rooms on the south west side have cool views to the beach and river. Parking gets crowded, especially with visitors who aren't hotel guests. Room had some broken bathroom tiles and elevator glitched while we were on it. At the end of the day, it's an affordable place that puts you close to town and the beach.
