Excellent hotel close to Europa Park
The hotel staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable with air conditioning. The breakfast buffet had an excellent choice and set us up for a day at Europa Park. They recommended an Italian restaurant just up the road which was good. I left something at the hotel and they even agreed to post it to me. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel

For us was perfect includied the brekfast. Its near europa park , 5 minutes walking. The check in was perfect because they agree to check early in the morning and we occupied the room after the park

Loved our stay. Perfect location with 5 minute walk through beautiful Rust Village to reach Europa Park. In way home delicious ice cream cones. Wide array restaurant close by. Kosel us clean, comfortable and friendly staff. Very generous breakfast every morning. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely Clean and friendly place in great location
Great friendly place to stay. We would highly recommend for a very comfortable stay when visiting Europa Park. This lovely quiet hotel is located 6 mins walk from the main entrance of the park so no need to drive, you can leave your car at the hotel. Breakfasts are fantastic, hosts are friendly, rooms clean and modern. the only thing I would say it would be a bonus would be a kettle and a small fridge but you can't have it all I guess. there are 2 supermarkets in the village ( one Lidl and one more expensive one) and good range of restaurants - just be aware that everything closes about 2pm and don't reopen until 5/6/7pm . Europa Park is fab, small queues even in the peak of the summer :)

Overpriced and small room spoiled things
Hotel easy to find and location close to the centre of the village and close to Europa Park - an 8 minute easy walk. Parking available behind hotel so you can save the €6 EP parking charge and just walk. Check-in was quick but note the reception is often unmanned later on at night. Drinks and chocolates etc available in vending machines for a reasonable price. No lift/elevator so not good for elderly or the infirm. Our room was on the 2nd floor. Then the big disappointment - the room. Having paid €310 for 2 nights the size of the room was very small and the quality was just not there. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the cheap laminate flooring wasn't very clean. The bathroom was clean but in a very dated style with a cramped shower cabinet. Towels were rough and unpleasant to use. The breakfast was fine with a good choice but unfortunately only available from 8am in the morning - a bit late for us and many people - 7am is more the normal start time. We stayed 2 nights. The staff were friendly so no complaints there. Wifi slow and with a painful log in method Just overpriced and nothing special. At €80 night it would have been okay but not at €155. I think the whole area is possibly well overpriced and plays on the Europa Park to hike up rates. Next time I look for better value elsewhere and accept the extra drive needed to get to the park

Excellent hotel and great for europa Park visitors
We enjoyed 2 nights here during a visit to Europa Park with the kids. The hotel was clean, friendly, comfortable and easy to find. Best of all, it was only a short walk to europa Park entrance. Parking was catered for and friendly staff spoke English which was great, as our German is almost non existent! We would recommend this hotel, and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

A great location for Europa Park visitors
My son and I stayed at Hotel Kosel over Easter and it proved to be a great choice! The hotel was very clean and the rooms were of a good size. Breakfast was the usual continental format' and the owners were very helpful and pleasant. The biggest advantage of Hotel Kosel is its location, which is just a 5 minute walk to the main entrance of Europa Park, a fantastic theme park which is as good as Disney if not better for thrill-seekers. The short walk means a huge saving compared to the on-resort hotels and for us this meant over £200 saving for our 3 nights stay. This hotel is a great choice for any visitor to Europa Park!

Perfect Location!
Awesome location. Comfortable beds. Big room on the top floor. Free breakfast, free wifi, & friendly front desk clerk. This hotel is only a short 5 minute walk away from Europa Park. Just perfect! The only drawback was that we stayed here on the last Saturday night that the park was open for the winter and it seems like the staff was given a party to celebrate the season. Since the hotel backs up to the park, the noise was way out of control until the early hours of the morning.

Management oriented to problem solving
I booked a room via Expedia.co.uk, only to arrive there and learn that Expedia has cancelled my reservation, WITH NO NOTICE and we, including a 10 y.o. child, were not having an accommodation that night. As the place was fully booked, we could not get another room. But, the manager was really kind a oriented to solve the problem. She found for us another hotel, nearby. Moreover, as that one was 5 Euros more expensive she offered to pay herself the difference. We did not accept, it was not Kosel who created the problem. Thus, I do not know much about this hotel, but sure enough, if that's how they handle the matters, it can only be great - much appreciated. As for Expedia.co.uk, shame on them! PS We learned next day, they cancelled another reservation in Strasbourg, again, with no notice whatsoever - we'll never ever try to use them again!

Pros: Nice, home feel kind of hotel. Had a room that slept five. All five of us slept comfortably with our own space in the room. Parking was free of charge. Nice, quiet neighborhood. River runs right behind hotel. Smaller hotel, not a chain. Multilingual staff. We arrive late that night due to getting off work late (probably arrive around midnight). We called ahead, let the hotel know, one of the employees stayed there awaiting our arrival, which was awesome on account the hotel isn't staffed 24/7. Shower had awesome water pressure as well (necessary for a girl with long & thick hair!) Cons: Shower needed to be fixed not even five minutes after I got in. Called the emergency 24/7 number to be told nothing could be done until the morning (although it was about 1:00 AM). Just sucked since I just had put shampoo in my hair! They gave us the time the repair man would be in. He came in first thing the next morning, around 7:00 AM. Let himself in, fixed the shower and left. Not awakening a single one of us since we had a long night and all. Thats all though.

A short walk from the Europa park entrance, and not too far from the Colosseo bar where the main WHD after-party stuff goes down. Pleasant and friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Would definitely book here again.

We wanted a family room close to Europa park and this ticked all the boxes. Although I believe the price for the room and breakfast is expensive (€175 per night, I would compare it to bed and breakfast in UK about £100 per night), it was still less than staying at the park. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and an email sent before our stay to ask about public transport was answered quickly and precisely.
