"Shouted the hubby one night away without the kids. Only an hour away from where we live. Amazing view, so nice & peaceful. Only downfall was the driveway to the place was narrow & we could not see upcoming vehicles approaching around the windy roads. The meals were overpriced a three course dinner (small portions) was $118 & breakfast was a-lot more. Otherwise overall a nice short getaway."

"A curious property. We stayed for one night on our way back from the far North of NZ. No on-site dining of any kind was available: no breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The "Cafe" was closed. Our room/studio was quiet, with a separate bedroom featuring the best mattress of our long trips to NZ. "We stayed at this motel, to help break up our journey south. The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Despite its location adjacent the highway, the room was quiet with a rural outlook. Our room looked suitable for a wheelchair bound person with wide doorways and spaces between furniture. Accommodation was about 10mins walk to town center. Room had a range of modern amenities "

"This motel looks quite scruffy from the outside but the unit itself had been refurbished and was quite spacious. Excellent beds and linen, but threadbare towels and no salt and pepper. A mirror by a powerpoint is needed for drying hair as the hairdryer can't be plugged in the bathroom. A handy location close to the beach and shops and surprisingly quiet at night."

"This property is a good budget or business option. The property was newer and up to date. They offered a complimentary full breakfast which was quite good. There is restaurant/room service. The only down side is it is tucked off in an industrial area. We had a car to make our way around but I think it would be hard without one. All of the staff encountered were friendly and helpful. I gave it 5 stars for being a very good value at a budget price."
