Older home; Decent for the price/nt price, but poor communication with Vacasa and check out policy
Overall, we were satisfied with the property for the rate we paid, but it is older and unrenovated. There are lots of details that make the property look shabby that could be resolved for a small investment. For example, the kitchen table top is in bad cosmetic shape. A simple, beachy tablecloth over it would be an inexpensive fix. Similarly, the furniture on the lovely back porch is ratty looking: old &unraveling in places. Doesn't need expensive furniture, but upgrading this would be a nice touch. Very old appliances. There were some communication issues with property mgr Vacasa. They repeatedly gave us the wrong Internet info. We were able to dig through info at the property to find the correct code but as the manager, Vacasa should know this info and not distribute inaccurate codes. The biggest issue we had with Vacasa was there was no one checking in immediately after us and we asked if we could check out at 11 AM vs 10 AM. 10 AM is so early -- not standard in the hospitality industry especially off season when no one is coming in behind us. Vacasa was totally inflexible and even rude. They wanted us to pay a lot for the 1 hour extra. They said they would have a manager contact me and never did. Still haven't. It's a nice gesture to allow an 11 AM check out, especially with no one coming in. The crazy thing is that the cleaners didn't even show up as of at least 10:45 AM (we were still in the area & drove by). So much for Customer Service.
