The name Remigiu or more simply Piccolo Rè, reflects a bit the locality or small Kingdom of Remigiu.

Inside you will find, on the first floor a double bedroom, a bedroom with two beds and a large bathroom, while on the upper floor there is a very welcoming and bright living room with a kitchenette, a sofa bed, and the second bathroom.

Remigiu is located inside the family farm where you can find the vegetable garden, the olive grove, the vineyards and the orchard still cultivated with love and dedication.

Lovely apartment in a perfect location to explore Cinque Terre
We had a great stay at this lovely and clean apartment with beautiful views over Cinque Terre. The cozy apartment was perfect for our family of four for four nights in one of the most beautiful places in Italy. It was a perfect spot for hiking and driving to nearby towns, though the hike back up was tough at the end of the day. The house was set up for cooking, with some essentials left over from others (oil, sugar, salt, etc.), and so we made some meals at home. Barbara was helpful and responsive, making us feel welcome from the start.

Stunning view
Best view in Cinque Terre! We had espresso in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the balcony. Clean, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Great space for 2 adults and 2 teens. It is a little remote, but easy 20 min walk to Volastra or catch the bus outfront 4 times a day. Highly recommend. The trail between Volastra/Manarola to Corniglia goes through the beautiful back yard.

Best Family Experience Ever!
There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our experience was. From booking to check-out, we were treated with so much kindness. The website photos are beautiful, but they can't compare with the reality of the views this house offers. It cannot be explained, just experienced. The house was impeccably clean when we checked in. Cleanliness is a very important aspect for me and I can be extremely pick about it. So, when I say the house was impeccably cleaned, it was TRULY TRULY clean! I was amazed! Laura's sister-in-law greeted us at checked-in and made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay. Her mother-in-law is also wonderful and make our experience even more enjoyable. We traveled with two children - 6 and 7 years-old - and they had plenty of space to play and have fun in their yard. This house requires you to be able to go down a great set of stairs from the street. This is something to keep in mind. Also, the house does not have internet access at this moment. The listing stated internet, but we learned it was a Homeaway glitch. However, it was a gift not having internet, because we got to experience the beauty of nature without distraction. The house is right in the middle of this amazing trails. From the house you can walk to different cities in Cinque Terre and it was wonderful! We will definitely return and we highly recommend it!

I had a lovely stay in Cinque Terra. The area was peaceful and quiet with a beautiful seaside vista greeting me each day. The kitchen was very well equipped and Barbara and Rina, the managers who live downstairs, were most hospitable!

A view worth the effort
The most outstanding feature of Remigiu is the spectacular view of the Cinque Terre coast and villages. However, to get there, you have to walk down 89 (we counted) stony steps. The other approach is a rocky trail 25 minutes from the village Volastra. We found that both were part of the experience of our stay. There is good bus service from the village to Manarola where you can get the train or ferry to all the other Cinque Terre villages. The property description said (and continues to say) that there is wi-fi connection. There was not any during our stay. That could have been a temporary problem, but it was a disappointment because we couldn't share our wonderful visit and pictures with friends until we left. The kitchen didn't really ae enough glasses and mugs for the number of people who could stay there. And, surprisingly, no wine glasses. We really also needed a small sharp knife. But the view made up for everything.

Magical
There are no words that can truly capture the experience our family (four adults and two children 9 & 11) had while staying at Riomaggiore. The home is spacious, very nicely renovated, and clean with all the comforts of home. The view is breathtaking, Rina and Barbara (live at the property) and Laura were all very helpful from the time we made the reservation through us leaving for home. Rina and Barbara welcomed us with open arms and treated us like family during our stay. Rina's garden is spectacular with flowers, vegetables, fruit and olive trees, and grape vines. Rina even shared some of her fresh vegetables with us! From the far corner of the garden you can see Manarola and from the home you can see Corniglia--each about an hour hike from the home. I suggest stopping in La Spezia and stocking up on groceries, as the markets in the villages are very small (wonderful but small) and you will have to carry your purchases back to the house. We had a rental car, so going in to La Spezia was not a problem. When you arrive at the home, you will have to park on the road above the home and walk down very steep stone steps with your luggage. This is not a complaint, just information that I hope will be helpful when planning your stay. If you know anything about the Cinque Terra, you already know it is a steep, mountainous area. One of my fondest memories of our stay (and there are MANY) was Sunday when Rina's son and daughter-in-law came for the day with their sons and a friend. Our girls speak only English and Rina's grandsons and friend speak only Italian, but they played soccer in the garden for hours. It was beautiful watching them come together and communicate through a game they all love. And, having the Mediterranean Sea as the backdrop to the game didn't hurt. As mentioned in another review, one of the national park trails does go through Rina’s property (very interesting story you should ask Rina to share with you). However, we loved watching hikers from all over the world stop in awe of the wonderful place we were lucky enough to call home for a week. Much love and many thanks to Rina for keeping and renovating her family home and opening it up for folks like us. Our stay was magical and we look forward to returning.

What a magical place!!! The views are indescribable!
The house was perfect! Comfortable and had all of the essentials. Unless you have a rental car, walking the path into Volastra is the only way to catch the bus to Manarola and the train station. If this isn’t a hiking adventure for you, it could be a struggle as the path is not paved. For me, not an avid hiker, it was definitely worth the walk. The views are unbelievable from almost every angle. Barbara and her mother were so accommodating. I can’t tell you enough about these two gems! They made us feel like family!! Thank you for your help and hospitality 😘 The two cabs that are in that area are not always available so we had to call a cab from La Spezia. It’s only a 15-20 minute ride. Transportation was probably the only downside to the trip but it seemed a common theme in most of the places we visited.

Gorgeous historic house with the most amazing views of Cinque Terre!
Gorgeous house with amazing views situated on the main hiking path in between Manarola and Corniglia, just NE of Volastra. To get there take the train into Manarola and catch the bus to Volastra. Has 1 double bed and 3 single beds. Also has a couch in living room upstairs. Bonus of 2 full bathrooms! Balcony and yard are overlooking the most beautiful views you could ask for. Perfect to drink wine at the end of the night and recap your day! Do yourself a favor and stop and pick up coffee and basic essentials on your way to the house as there really isn’t anything in the house. There is the equipment just not the supplies. Ask Laura for the cab driver info as you really need a cab coming and going to the train station, especially if you have bags. And he is wonderful! There is a bus from Manarola to Volastra but one must be careful with the bus times as they are sometimes limited. Or you can hike. From the house to a Manarola it will take @90 minutes downhill. There is a Wonderful restaurant in Volastra just a 15 minute walk to the house from the road and a small general store. We had an amazing 5 nights with perfect weather. Barbara, her mother were great and the sweet guys there helped carry our bags. But the local white wine. Yummy and you have to try the Sciaccatra - sweet white wine. You won’t regret it! I can’t wait to go back to Cinque Terre!!!!

Outstanding property in unbeatable location
We have had a fantastic stay in this beautifully refurbished 1700's home. You simply cannot do be better than the view from the deck. The house is well outfitted with multiple heat pumps and a well equipped kitchen. Rina and Barbara are just the most lovely, helpful hosts. Yes, there are a lot of stairs which is a little of a challenge with large suitcases, but we managed it. The next village is about 20 mins walk away but it has only a very mini minimart and 2 restaurants. Please note there is a bus service between there, Volastra, and the nearest of the 5 villages Manarola. You do not want to walk to Manarola if you don't have to! All in all we have loved our stay and we're very sad to leave.

very basic property in remote location
The house is very difficult to get to as the local taxis are constantly overbooked - we had to rely on the landlady's family to take us to and from Manarola where we had a long walk to and from the station as cars are not allowed in the village. Also, it's down a series of steep steps so not accessible to anyone with any kind of mobility problem. And the nearest restaurant and shop are in Volastra, a 20-mn walk away by road, longer via the steep cliff-side trail. The trail to Corniglia goes right through the property, so it's not as quiet as it could be during the day when hordes of tourists traipse past and stop for photo ops or to ask directions. The garden is beautiful and lovingly tended, with a cherry tree and a mimosa giving welcome shade, filled with the scents of jasmine and roses. The sea view from the terrace is amazing. There is very little in the house: coffee and salt, not even a kettle. The shower has enough hot water for one person per day. So it's clean and charming but pretty basic.

A beautiful place with a million dollar view!
We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place with the million dollar view! Watching the gorgeous sunset from the balcony was just wonderful! The property is well maintained, the family is so kind, and the apartment is very nice. We would stay here again for sure!! The Cinque Terre trail runs right through the backyard, making it very convenient. It is a 15 minute trail walk from the house to Volastra where you can catch the bus to go into Manarola, which is the closest town. In Manarola, you can access the regional train system to take you to each of the towns. I would recommend getting a Cinque Terre day pass card (14 euros each) if you plan to spend time going from town to town. Otherwise, it is 4 euros each time you get on the train. The pass is well worth the money and you get to see all of the towns. Of course, you can also walk all or some of the trails, which we did. It is important to note that the day pass card is only good for the day that you purchased it (not for a 24 hour period). Since there is a 15 minute walk on the trail to get to the house after you get off the bus, it is important to make sure you head back in daylight otherwise you would be walking on the trails in the dark, which we didn't want to try. We took a taxi twice from Manarola to the house when we got back after dark. The cost was 25 euros one way (there were four of us, not sure if the number of people matters). Our driver was wonderful! This is a great place to stay!

Spectacular View
Barbara and Rina welcomed us with open arms to this quaint farmhouse in a magical setting. We had experienced a harrowing day of having our car broken into at Pisa and having everything stolen. Rina was so sweet to share one of her delicious bottles of wine! Barbara could be found working in the beautiful backyard and garden with a continual smile on her face. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful the view of the Ligurian Sea and two of the Cinque Terra towns is. The farmhouse sets right on the walking trail from Maranola and Corniglia. The walk to Volastra is about 20 minutes on a breathtaking trail with vineyards along the path. The only slightly negative was the bunkbeds for people who are 60+. Sleeping on the top bunk was a trick....we have had loads of laughs about that. All in all this place is a touch of heaven. We all hope to return. We would all highly recommend the farmhouse. Thank you again Barbara and Rina! Ginger and Logan Armstrong Debbie and Harold Menefee

Amazing Views
Although we never met Laura, her mother-in-law, Rina, and sister-in-law, Barbara, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. This property is right on the walking path from Manarola to Corniglia, about a 20 minute walk from the little town of Volastra. The view down to Ligurian Sea was phenomenal, and for both couples, this was by far the best place we stayed during our 10 days in Italy. We would definitely love to stay here if we are ever back in the Cinque Terre. It is well worth all the steps to get to it.

Magical place with a stunning view
we are a family of 5 and had spent 3 lovely nights at the Remigiu. The appartment is nicely redone and we felt right at home. Steep steps leading down to the house made sure we did not want to use the car at all :-). There is a wonderful pathway going to the little village of Volastra, where we could buy all necessary things. There is a little bus taking us to the village of Manarola, which is one of the Cinque Terre villages.. Signora Rita is the sweetest person, helping out with whatever she could. We were able to us the garden,.and have the kids run around. The appartment itself is well equipped with all necessary things. We slept very well in the beds and woke up looking at the Mare Ligure. This was the best location on trip and we hope to be back one day.

The view is the main selling point
We saw nicer places on the website of the company that rents out this place The apartment is located on the side of the hill. You park on a narrow strip on the side of the road and have to take quite some stairs down to the apartment itself. It is not located in Riomaggiore as the name suggested but 15-20 drive away. There was no one to great us, but we received a pdf with instructions via WhatsApp wit a video on where to go and the code for the keylocker outside. The people that lived below did not speak English, and we were only informed about where to put the trash even after asking during the week. (required a key which we got on the last evening) We found the apartment to be below expectation in cleanliness, especially the kitchen. Also, the furniture was outdated and the balcony furniture was a joke. Also, there is no internet, and the satellite TV is not working. The garden is not adjecant to the apartment, but under it so you have to close the door if you want to sit there because the door. Is on a walk path between the villages so lots of hikers pass it. Pros: the view and the airconditioning.
