Very easy to get there by train and a return trip is only 5 euros. Cascais is very nice but the ocean water is cold. Only for the very hearty.

So crowded, never seen a beach this crowded in my life
The beach has a stone walkway that travels from Monte Estoril to Cascais. We walked the beach almost every day, Morning or Night. There are plenty of small restaurants and ice cream stands along the way, so you can stop for a cold beer or something to eat if you need a break. The ocean is cold but some locals can be seen swimming or doing other sports in the water or on the beach. We loved it.
This may be the smallest beach in Cascais, but it was once fit for a queen. Enjoy its soft sands and lovely views of the town’s fishing harbor.
