The restaurants weren’t up to par. The food wasn’t that great. The entertainment could’ve been better. You hear music all night because the stage is surrounded by the rooms and the staff needs to learn English. I talk to them and they didn’t understand what I was saying other than that it’s a beautiful place

Review: The property and beach were very nice and comfortable, providing a relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. The food at the cafeteria was also good, with a decent variety of options to enjoy. However, I found it inconvenient that you cannot make reservations for a big party at the restaurants. Their setup isn’t designed to accommodate large groups, and it took over 60 minutes to get our food, which was frustrating. Another challenge was communication. While the staff at the front desk spoke English, the rest of the team did not, which made it tough to communicate. I had to rely heavily on translation apps to translate from English to Spanish. That said, the staff were incredibly warm and always smiling, which added to the resort’s charm. Despite the challenges, their friendliness made the experience more enjoyable. With some improvements in accommodating larger groups and more English-speaking staff, this could be an even better place to stay.

We had a great stay at the Riu Palace Bavaro everyone was very welcoming and attentive to all our needs. I also was happy that the restaurants come on a first come first served basis so no need for reservations however I wished they had a actual Dominican restaurant in the resort I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family

We stayed 6 nights at RIU Palace Bavaro. Received excellent service - especially at the buffet and the steak restaurant! Loved having three double beds in the room. Towels looked a little worn (as a previous reviewer mentioned) and having to keep track of a towel card all week was a minor inconvenience. We had no issues with bugs and had our room cleaned daily and minibar restocked. My family loved the pool bar by the RIUland. We would not hesitate to book another trip to RIU Palace Bavaro.

I stayed there for 5 days. The place is fantastic, the staff is terrific, and the food is excellent. The beach is warm and clean, perfect for adults. My only complaint is how hard it is to get a restaurant other than Taino/buffet or the food court. You have to be ready to eat dinner at 6/7 pm and get in line around 5:30 before the restaurant opens. Because they close very early, like 9:30 pm, and only the elite can reserve their spots on the app. I just wished the restaurant stayed open longer to accommodate more people. The steakhouse is perfect, and the food on Taino is also excellent. My experience at the American Bites restaurant was negative; the small portion and the wait for the food was 1 hour long.

The property was good. I think the food was good and had a lot of options. The staff is really nice, Dominican people are extremely kind I feel bad because i witnessed some of the hotel guest acting rude… definitely an embarrassment. I went for the new years holy day and boy that hotel was at full capacity. The buffet that night was outstanding and the celebration was a lot of fun. I went with a group of 12 people, all family member all ages and there are plenty of activities for all of us around the facility. Beach is good, beautiful water and I did take long walks every morning at sunrise. I’d go back ☺️ make sure you visit the spa… I didn’t know it was so go into the last day lol

This property overall was great! I would visit it again. I do recommend to check rooms on third floor of elite building. Our room had mold on the wall behind the bed and sides, the mold smell was strong. The main lobby also has that particular odor. But really you have such a great time and food and people wer so great that those monir things could be ignored during the stay. Best restaurant the steak house! Best bars: joes and la yola! Maintenance of common facilities qas great!

The best part of this hotel is the beach. The hotel also gets a plus for it's recent renovations. However, the service was well below average and the experience did not come close to 5 stars as it's advertised to be. The food was the worst I've ever experienced at an all-inclusive resort. To add insult the hotel states that reservations are not needed for its restaurants however we were turned away from our restaurant of choice on several nights of our stay due to the long "waiting list". we were told to come early which we did (7pm) and again was told that they could not accommodate any additional guest since we were not on the list, and which was too long to be added to. When we were able to eat at the restaurants the food and service were subpar, with many items on the menu not available because they "ran out". Aso entertainment options were limited and what they did have was not very entertaining at all. I would not stay here again unless these issues are addressed.

This hotel was the best!! I had so much fun the rooms were clean towels , bed no complaints. The swim up pool was extremely nice with our view from the elite club. I definitely recommend getting the elite club!! I loved my stay , I will be back next time for sure. Thank you to all the staff that made my birthday trip memorable, from the letters and flowers room service and all.

Resort is beautiful but the food service is below average. In some restaurants, food tastes stale. For vegans, not many choices , sitting restaurants have limited menu and the chefs don’t offer any customization. Other than food, I would give it a 4 stars rating.
