"I cannot begin to grasp how incredible of a stay I had here at Laura’s home. My partner and I had a bucket list dream to see the Northern Lights. We had decided Fairbanks would be a good spot. From booking our stay, Laura provided us with tips and recommendations for anything from restaurants, things to do, etc. All her tips were spot on and excellent. I have stayed in many a VRBO and Laura is the best host I’ve ever had. She offered to pick us up at the airport as needed, ensured our fridge was stocked with a lovely breakfast starter kit, had a valentines gift and flowers waiting for us on the counter, and alerted us (upon request) when the Northern Lights were visible! It is so very clear that Laura is a passionate host and cares deeply about her home and the guests who stay there. The home itself is cozy in all the right ways. Everything I could possibly need was already there. I was cooking and realized I needed butter, she had it there. I caught a cold and needed tissues, she had plenty. We needed sandals to go to the local hot springs. She has several pairs. Worried about dehydration? She’s got a massive jug of water ready to go for you. Wanting to bundle up? There’s a fuzzy blanket waiting for you on the sofa. Everything was wonderful. I arrived in Fairbanks not sure if I’d ever want to come back, and I leave Fairbanks wishing to come back quickly, at the very least to visit Laura and her lovely home. "

We came for the Northern Lights, but we would come back just to enjoy all that the property and its location has to offer. "

"We absolutely loved this place! The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials like pancake mix, cereals and etc, making our stay even more convenient. The host’s thoughtful touches, like providing foot warmers, made us feel truly cared for. One of the highlights was seeing the Northern Lights right in front of the house! Plus, Chena Lake Recreation Area, a fantastic spot for aurora viewing with open space and no city lights, was just a short 10-minute drive away—perfect for safely getting there on snowy roads on cold winter nights. We were incredibly lucky to see the aurora three out of the four nights we stayed. This was an unforgettable experience. You won't regret staying here if you want a great aurora-viewing experience."

"February 2025 stayed here with my parents and two kids. Comfortable space for 5. Beautiful location. Came in after a storm and the drive out was still reasonable driving conditions. I would recommend grocery shopping closer to Airport as there is a small local spot with minimal basics. The place is super cute and in sub 0 temps, still warm and cozy. Right out the door are miles of public trails that the kids and I were able to head out on. Well groomed so snow shoes were unnecessary. The property and surrounding land are absolutely gorgeous. Elke was super responsive leading up to the trip and no issues during our stay. The northern lights were visible at the cabin on two KP4 blocks of time. Stunning. We did do the dog sled experience and it was wonderful. Fascinating to hear about Silver Aces, their dogs, and the mushing experience. Best of luck in the upcoming weeks! The kitchen is small but well equipped for stove top cooking and a sheet pan for the oven. Lastly, Google Fi users and had service on the property and on the trails around the property. "This house is ideally located between Fairbanks and Chena Hot Springs. Everything is as it appears in the photos. Clean and comfortable. Wintertime in Alaska is something to experience. Thank you Monique and Russell for the opportunity to enjoy it once again. "

"Place was exactly as described. Hot tub was great. One thing to note- the stove in the pictures was not a wood burning stove, its run on oil (was looking forward to burning wood). It kept the place nice and toasty though.Communication was also great- we had an issue with the wifi and that was fixed quickly."
