"We really LOVED this Cottage in the middle of SOMEWHERE ! From the entry gate, to the Shetland Highland Cattle grazing in the adjacent "pasture", to the rooster's morning wake up call, everything here was FANTASTIC ! The Cottage is well appointed with all necessities to relax, make meals, watch TV, etc. Location is perfect for a scenic, leisurely one hour drive to Tuscaloosa or same to Birmingham. We are looking forward to duplicating this trip in 2026 !Thank you, Mary, for a GREAT stay !"

"We expected a continental breakfast, but there wasn't one. Welcoming and efficient check-in. Hardee's right across the street. Location convenient to everywhere we needed to go--Sturdivant, Tally-Ho, and Southern Sportsman Lodge. The lodge, a drive away, still convenient because we could use the bypass very easily. If occasion arises, we'll stay there again. Comfortable bed, good AC, non-smoking room actually odor free. We rested well."

"This is no 5 star hotel BUT it was clean and in a convenient location. The front desk lady Audrey was very pleasant to talk to in the morning. I wish I could remember the girl name, but she has lots of tattoos and cleans the rooms. She really took the time out to make sure I was in a room near my sister and that my room was clean and had fresh towels. She told me to wait 15-20 minutes and was done in 10 minutes! And told me to make sure I let her know if there are any issues. That made me feel like she took pride in her work and appreciated me as a customer. I'm not going to lie, I was a little skeptical at first when I pulled up because this isn't a "really nice" hotel. But it was clean and staff was friendly. King size bed was comfy too!"

"We came for a crafting event at the end of June. The house is lovely and is “off the beaten path” which was fine with us. The owners were very responsive to some requests and had products delivered while we were there. The AC is not centralized but there are units in every room. We would stay there again."
