« I spent a month on the houseboat called “Salty Dog”. I had my 20 lb puppy, Tilly with me and a friend who is a professional pet sitter came and joined us a few times. Two things really impressed me. 1., the boat was superbly equipped as if ready for a long range voyage and 2. The neighbors were all Salties - creative, fun, and helpful. Proximity to everything from a grocery store , laundry and to a pub and a bunch of great local restaurants all within walking distance was great. Parking was easy...

« We stayed on this boat in early March and it was 43-45 degrees at night. There were recurrent power issues with the boat and we were not able to use the space heater or hot water most of the time. If I didn’t have the foresight to bring our winter camping gear, my son and I would have been freezing all night.
