The hotel was about a 30 minute walk to the Pearl and 10 minutes to downtown. The room was noisy from traffic on Saturday night and the wi-fi was hard to get on. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom had cracked tile on the floor and needed updating. I would rate it as average overall.

This property was perfect for three couples traveling together. It was essentially three 1-bedroom "shotgun" style apartments adjoined like hotel rooms. We could be together or separate easily. The places were impeccably clean, beautifully appointed and thoughtfully and completely stocked for our visit. The location is wonderful -- 1 1/2 blocks to the Alamo, 3-4 blocks from the River Walk. Many restaurants nearby. Yes, there are no windows but we didn't miss them at all! We were out at night (before midnight) and, being non-city dwellers, were a bit nervous but had no problems. We had several questions that were promptly answered by the property managers. We would happily stay here again.

The atrium was a little loud and the hotel seemed a little worn (e.g. the bath towels had holes in them; the furniture was worn; the toilet leaked; etc.) However, the bar & restaurant were great and the staff was quite pleasant. Great location!

The staff of The Maverick were exceptional. The rooms/apartments were very comfortable and clean. This hotel is so close to the river. Would definitely stay here again.
