In its 55 tanks and over five million liters of water, Palma Aquarium holds one of the most diverse arrays of marine life in the Mediterranean area. Head to the area dedicated to marine life from the Mediterranean Sea. Nearly half the tanks make up this section of the aquarium. See groupers and wrasses as well as colorful lobsters and octopuses. Learn about the unique environment of the Mediterranean Sea by reading the informative placards alongside the tanks.
Once you’ve seen all the Mediterraneane area has to offer, head to the 24 tropical tanks. These contain the largest collection of coral in Europe and display fish from the world’s oceans. View colorful clownfish and underwater oddities like the surgeonfish and comet tail fish.
If you’re feeling brave, head to the large transparent tunnel where sharks swim behind glass only a few feet away. Qualified divers can even jump into the tank for an exhilarating up-close experience. Pre-booking is essential in order to do this—along with courage and common sense.
Head outside to explore pools teeming with rays, turtles and hammerhead sharks. Children will love the opportunity to give the creatures their dinner at feeding time. Also popular with the young ones is the outdoor play area which includes water features and slides.

Palma Aquarium is located in the marina in Palma de Mallorca. There are two cafés in the large outside area and a gift shop. Palma Aquarium is open year-round and there is an admission fee.
