Charming Cottage in the heart of Oxford, within walking distance to all our favorite Oxford things!
We call this circa 1900 cottage gem "Memory Lane" for the wonderful memories you will create during your vacation. As self-proclaimed "Scottish Creamery Fanatics", the cottage's close walk to Talbot County's best ice cream store wins first bragging rights. But walking to the ice cream store is only the beginning. You are one simple block to Oxford Beach called The Strand where you can bring your kayaks, paddleboards or simply a towel and a chair to lie on the beach, soak in the afternoon sun and search for sea glass. Memory Lane's in-town location means never having to get in the car during your vacation - bike or walk to The Oxford Market, Wednesday's Farmer's Market, Capsize waterfront restaurant, the expansive waterfront shaded park or Salter's Tavern at the Robert Morris Inn. This cottage's tranquil water-oriented decorating could be straight from an HGTV show - think updated design comfortably mingling with the Bay and its historic Oxford location. Additional touches such as a wet bar; board games and kids' toys make this vacation property home to all ages and are particularly child-friendly. Memory Lane is just like our favorite ice cream flavors - you can never get enough!

Always Great!
The property was just as we remembered it. This is our second stay at this location so no surprises. The driveway is a little tight with the new fence but not an issue, so why mention it you say? As we get older the stairs are very tight and would become an issue. I sent a note to ES people about the plumbing upstairs but an easy fix. All good maybe see you next time.

Threw a dart at a map and landed on Oxford
The home is beautiful and had all the required amenities. Had an issue with the coffee maker; a new one was dropped off the next day. The town is so quant and relaxing and only a block to the beach.

Pretty wonderful
All the charm of an old a house! Not all the outlets work, but hey, it’s an old house. Just a couple of minor amenities missing, but nothing major. Some Furniture could use an upgrade for comfort, but we would absolutely stay there again!

Perfect home for our getaway
My son and I stayed here for a week while we did repairs on our sailboat. The location couldn't have been more perfect, right by the boat yard. House is very spacious and well furnished and decorated. Definitely has that Oxford charm to it. The only caveat, and this has nothing to do with the home, is the fire station alarms went off a lot, usually really early in the morning and late at night and they are deafening. According to the landlords this is uncommon, though. I was so pleased with the home that my wife and I will be staying again in June before we sail north.

From Arrival to Follow Up- Horrible
Listing looked great for our family vacation. No problem paying for the rental in advance. But when we arrived we had no access to property and the management company (Eastern Shore Vacation Rentals) couldn’t be reached. We emailed and called many times to get help. Their main number had a message to “press 2 for customer service” and when we did we were Re-routed back to the original greeting. Meanwhile, we were looking for alternative places to stay and feeling like we were scammed. We tried the main number a few more times and eventually, the “press 2” option actually worked, but went to voicemail. We did, however, copy the number of the individual and tried to text them, as a last ditch effort. By now we were 2 hours past check in. We eventually got a text back. It was simply 4 digits. We figured out that this was the door code. The door had 2 different keypads and the code worked on one of them and we finally got access. There were issues inside/outside the house: unswept/dusty living areas; sandy furniture; water stained ceilings; faucet loose/moving around; no hot water in shower; bathroom door not closing; kitchen not clean; grill not working (we planned grilling for dinners -had to cook inside the soiled/hot kitchen); window screens missing; exterior dirty-needs a fair amount of work. The only thing they responded to was bringing a fresh tank for grill. They offered us $700 if we did not leave a review.

Weekend at Memory Lane
This home is in the lovely town of Oxford, within walking distance of parks, shoreline, restaurants, etc. Very quiet. The house and grounds were just fine, but in a slightly sad state of disrepair: refrigerator leaked, kitchen cabinet doors did not close, fire pit was dented -- minor, but certainly a notch down from the photos. However, would we stay there again? Absolutely.

Perfect Getaway Weekend
Memory Lane was a perfect spot for a getaway weekend with our kids and in-laws. It was well equipped with all amenities we needed. The bikes were an added plus- and our favorite part of the weekend was exploring the quaint town of Oxford.

Oxford and Memory Lane
Memory Lane did not disappoint our group of relatives and friends! It is a beautifully decorated home, in a great location, and is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful vacation. It was sparkling clean, and each room had plenty of nice white towels. The view from the master bedroom was really lovely. We enjoyed walking around town, sitting at the park at sunset, and walking down to Capsize for dinner, which was just a short stroll away. Thanks for a peaceful, quiet and fun vacation! It’s just what we all needed. Wish we were still there..

We absolutely LOVED this rental property! It was clean, beautiful, comfortable, and a great location to all things Oxford! Our family of 8 stayed there for a wedding event long weekend and we did NOT want to leave! It’s so hard to find nice rental homes that are dog friendly.... this is IT! We can’t wait to go back!

Comfortable home in a friendly Relaxing historic town
Memory Lane was a perfect place to meet up and spend a week with family. It’s very clean and comfortable and has enough space to separate from the group as well. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Enjoyed fishing and crabbing. Robert Morris Inn dinner was excellent as was latitude 38.

Peace and Quiet
Oxford is a fishing boat and sailing boat quaint town. This home is in a neighborhood within walking distance to the marinas, restaurants and the ferry. It's an older property which doesn't exactly have the perfect view to the water and is located between a shipyard and vacant, but for sale property. There is plenty of room in the house and is very quiet during the day. On the weekends, especially in summer, it's busier. Overall I enjoyed my time in Oxford and this home. It suited my needs.

A Family Holiday Reunion in Charming Oxford, MD
Our family gathered in the Memory Lane House to celebrate a milestone Birthday and New Year's Eve. The home was perfect for 8 people to sleep and the common spaces were cosy, comfortable and well equipped for larger gatherings. We were pleasantly surprised by the Holiday Decorations which included a Christmas Tree, stockings hung by the chimney with care and boughs wrapping the stair railings. We were able to sit in front of the fire place and open our gifts and pretend we were in our Home for the Holidays! "The Master Suite" is beautiful with high ceilings, a waterfront view and an amazing Spa tub and walk in shower. The house is only one block from the bay and the ferry landing is close by. We took walks through the picturesque quiet town and were close enough to Easton and St. Michael's to visit , shop and browse but return to our oasis and relax. The kitchen was supplied with all the necessities we needed for cooking and serving large family meals. We would recommend this property to any group who wants a homey, charming atmosphere for a vacation or reunion. The agency responded quickly to a difficulty we had with the television.

Nice quiet location, close to the market and ferry
Stayed here during waterfowl weekend in Easton. Nice quiet location, clean, and comfortable beds. The only thing I can say bad was all bedrooms are upstairs, not the best setup for seniors with bad knees. It was very nice having linens included. Thank you!

Lovely house, great location. If anyone in your group is taller than 6ft1in you may have a problem as some of the doorways and ceilings in the original part of the house are pretty low!
