"We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable! As other reviews mentioned, there are a lot of nearby properties as you drive in who keep all their scrap, which is probably very useful. But, the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. We didn’t get to enjoy the fishing at the lakes as much as we hoped, but was easy to access and fun to watch the geese and ducks and deer. Hosts were available, but we didn’t need them during our stay. Welcome basket was so nice! Only things to be aware of is tv only in living room (mentioned in listing), and kitchen may not be as fully stocked as other properties if you are planning to cook a lot. We had a quick weekend, so didn’t cook aside from breakfast and did fine. We would definitely stay again. "

"Excellent stay. Comfortable, quiet, friendly staff. Easy parking. Next to grocery store. Breakfast was the usual. I’m just a cereal and oj type, so all good. Access included to nearby local recreation center is excellent: lap pool, large hot tub, kids pool, warm pool, sauna, alert lifeguards, changing room with showers. Week days quiet, with retired people, water aerobics. Weekends were loud, with lots of kids of all ages. Nice weight room, machines and free. Treadmills and other such machines."

"This unique house is truly one of a kind. It was built by the family who still own it and was created and decorated with care and love. It was very comfortable and I appreciated the quality of the bed, shower, and kitchen which was well stocked. The charming aspects of the castle included my favorite room, the round breakfast nook in the turret, the tongue and groove aspen high A frame type ceiling, and the homey Western vibe and art. The setting was exceptional - I fell asleep to the sound of Kiser Creek running through the yard, which had an an aspen grove out back, and the view out over the valley was amazing, especially at sunrise and sunset. The castle is just a few miles from Cedaredge, a great small town, and the top of the 10,000 feet Grand Mesa. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. This is a great place to stay. "
