"The Escalante is excellente! A real haven right on 5th Avenue and an easy walk to the beach although you don’t need to walk as they provide a cart to take you. The pool area is great too and as there aren’t many rooms, it was easy to get comfortable sun loungers. I have stayed at major chain hotels all over the world and our stay at the Escalente was right up there with the best. The staff were so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.
