"Great location."

"I was concerned that the property would feel old or shabby given its apparent age, but the lobby was clean and updated. The glassed over pool atrium was warm and pleasantly humid with a charming retro styling. It felt (in a good way) like a family vacation in 1975. The pool was warm and the hot tub was great - much nicer than your typical hotel pool with the sun shining down through the glass. There were plenty of deck lounge chairs. We had a main floor "pool view" room, and while we could hear kids playing all day/evening, the room itself didn't smell like pool and was very clean--I was impressed. It was convenient to be able pop back and forth between pool and room. Pool towels small but plentiful. You have to be staying on site to be in the atrium pool/recreation area (which also has tables, pool table, ping pong), which frustrated some other patrons who wanted local friends to join, but it sounded like there was no way to buy extra wristbands. Free buffet breakfast (standard hotel fare, but good) was served in the attached restaurant. Overall it was a hit. My kids are excited to stay there again next time we are in Dubuque."

"We had issues with our room keys yes both keys malfunctioning. The desk told us it was our phones demagnetizing the plastic cardsso after the initial issue we made sure not to have them cloae together and we kept having the issue. Took 4 or 5 times with each key to be able to get into the room and we discovered at breakfast other people staying had the exact same issue. Other than that issue room was very clean. Beds pillows were super comfy. Breakfast was good not greatbut good. Maybe have fresh fruit as an option also. "

"This property is so convenient when I am visiting my grandson and his family. It is always clean. The staff are wonderful. Even a young man who was new was very kind and explained everything he was doing, and apologized for delay, which was minimal. Nice staff. "
