Where to stay in Ninth Ward

The Cajun Encounters tour took me to the Honey Island Swamp where I saw my first up-close, wild alligator. Not just one, but a whole bunch! Not to mention the turtles and local birds that are a lot different from the birds I'm used to in the north.

Our tour guide, Bishop, was fantastic. He was funny, personal, and knew his stuff. He also managed to attract not just gators but wild pigs as well.

If I go back to New Orleans--no--WHEN I go back, I fully intend on going on this tour again.

"Whitney was amazing. She answered our questions and concerns immediately. The property is great and the pictures were accurate. My only complaint is that the fees, taxes, and extras took a 211 nightly listed cost to over 500 a night. That is on VRBO not the property or property managers."
