"Close to Jay Peak & restaurants on Newport’s Main St but laid out awkwardly. Bathroom is huge but living room is cramped. I was a little worried that we would be cold since it didn’t look well insulated, but the heat was good & strong & it didn’t take long to warm up. Owner likes fish & angels, which dominate the decor. "The hosts did a great job of informing us about the stay and kept in touch during it to make sure all was well and offer suggestions if needed. The property was larger than we expected and very livable. The only ’ding’ I might mention is that there is not really a kitchen if you expect one in an apartment. We did not need one as the microwave, coffee maker and kettle provided in a breakfast space were all we needed. We felt welcome and would definitely stay again. "

"Rented the place in mid-oct for a second-marriage honeymoon. The place was easy to find and was set up perfectly for a two person cozy stay. House faces the sunset and has a deck and sitting porch. Brought my little boat and the boating access is across the street. We had zero issues. We would definitely come back!! Definitely worth it. 👌 "

"We stayed in the cottage during the third weekend of October, yet the foliage was still beautiful. We were located just a few minutes away from Crystal Lake State Park, Lake Willoughby, and wonderful local restaurants like Roberto's Pizza and Barton Baking. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed, including heating and a nice fireplace. Highly recommend!"

The porch was a great spot to watch ducks and loons in the morning and sit in the sun. The cabin was well stocked (kitchen items, linens, firewood, games) and was a great spot for a lazy day too.
