I checked in with my service dog. Upon arrival I signed a form stating he was a service animal. There was a clause saying there was a $95 cleaning fee. I told the staff that it’s illegal to charge anything for a service animal. The kid at the front desk, not the one who even checked me, but some other young guy and an older African guy told me that as long as my dog causes no damage there will be no charge. Sounds good. As I take him everywhere with me and there is never a problem. Well, I checked out. No damages. But was still charged the fee. I called the front desk to ask about why I was charged and the older guy got on the phone again and told me to dispute it with my credit card then hung up on me.

Interior areas were clean and quiet. Really cute, small street level patio needed a sweeping and tables were sticky and dirty. Staff were friendly, however the hotel was overbooked and we were told our room type (2 bed) was sold out. As we were a group of four, they split our reservation and gave us two rooms for the proce of our one booked one, which was fine with us. One room had a broken shower faucet, for which a serviceman was promptly dispatched and problem resolved. Despite the negatives, we liked the hotel and would try it again.

Staff is nice. Hotel downstairs is super convenient and great menu. The room is large and quiet. I extended my stay one more night, but housekeeping kept knocking on my door about 5 times even though I had the do not disturb sign on. Then the next day I had a check out at 12:30, but the housekeeper knocked at 11 and at again 12, even though I had the do not disturb. Very unprofessional and annoying as I was on a work call.

I've never done a staycation in my city and I'm so glad I chose this as my first. Easy check-in process. Comfy bed, lovely shower. Beautiful view of the Empire State Building. Would absolutely do it again!!

long story short, clean your towels. Ours were dirty upon check in. Had stains. Don't have cleaning ladies knocking on our doors before checkout time. cleaning lady knocked hard twice at 10:10 AM when we had DO NOT DISTURB on the door. why??? Need to fix elevator. Also, your front desk employees need more energy. barely said hello to me and my girl and failed to offer complimentary water. Funny because they offered to the guy next to me when I was checking in and didn't bother to ask me.
