Historic condo located in the Arts / Warehouse District of New Orleans with a balcony. The perfect location for St. Charles Ave. / Uptown Route parades during Carnival Season. A quick walk to Superdome, Smoothie King Center Arena or Convention Center for our beloved Saints football, NBA Pelican Basketball team and so many concerts and events, as well as conventions, trade shows and expos.

The Space:

Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, this residence features an open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen, adorned with original brick walls that exude the city's distinctive character. VacayNOLA has self Check In services. Our normal arrival time is after 3 PM CT and check out is before 11:00 AM CT.

Please plan your flights accordingly, as we cannot always allow for early check ins or late check outs. IF, we can allow for an Early Check In / Late Check Out, there are fees associated with this request to change the housekeeping schedules and door code times.

The Neighborhood:
Arts & Warehouse District - Arts District, an eclectic area of Art Galleries along Julia St and surroundings street. The building sits at the corner of Julia and St. Charles Ave, where we have so many restaurants, coffee shops, bar and grills, within a 4 block walk. The must visit World War II Museum is a mere 3 blocks away. A majority of the original warehouses that stored all the goods and merchandise off loaded from the Port of New Orleans Steamships have now been developed into residential housing.

Getting Around:
Walking is the best way to get around in the downtown New Orleans and when you get tired, rideshare (Uber/Lift/KrewCar) and taxi's are generally readily available. Or hop on one of our famous streetcars to see two major routes throughout the City. The St. Charles Ave. streetcars are Green and head away from downtown on St. Charles Ave. The Garden District, where you will see the beautifully maintained mansions, passing Loyola and Tulane Universities, Audubon Park, and the Audubon Zoo.
Red Streetcars travel along Canal Blvd. from the Mississippi River out to City Park. The streetcars are cash only, unless you buy a pass.

The Hop on Hop off tour busses circulate around some of the more popular areas of downtown and offer pickup every 30 minutes.
The Algiers Ferry is a fun way to get across the river. It runs from Canal street to Algiers throughout the day. Algiers is a small neighborhood and very walkable. Enjoy a quick bite to eat then just enjoy walking through the historic houses.

Bicycle rentals are is also a great way to get around and can be rented from various locations throughout downtown. There are bike rental options like Blue Bike with multiple locations throughout the city and also tour companies that have guided bike tours.

Only way it could improve was a Saints win!
This is such a perfect location for us. and so comfortable. The extra added touches (coffee service, water and Gatorade, adequate number and quality towels and bath accessories) make this one of our favorite places to stay. And the attention provided by management is superior. Even the neighbors in the building are wonderful! Thank you for a perfect weekend stay. (well except for the Saints loss!)

This condo is a great place to stay. It is clean, the beds where comfortable and has a modern decor. I loved sitting on the balcony and relaxing.We had a problem with our door and the staff helped us right then. I would stay there again.

Great location and space
A perfect home base for exploring all parts of New Orleans. Our family of four enjoyed spreading out and having a home to return to after our adventures in the city. Easy access to the street car was a huge plus, and the balcony allowed us to take in all the sights and sounds of the city...including multiple “second lines.”

Great location, near St. Charles Streetcar, restaurants, art galleries, CVS and supermarket. The balcony was a nice plus and the restaurant downstairs was a good neighbor. There were some small maintenance issues, but the property managers were responsive.

Property was in a safe location and liked having a secure building access. Nicely furnished. Nice to have a few cocktails waiting on us in the fridge. Perfectly Comfortable Stay
This apartment is absolutely lovely. I’d definitely stay here again. It was so easy to access and communicate with the host when needed. They were so nice and accommodating. The apartment itself was spacious and clean and very well appointed. The beds are super comfortable and the three TVs with cable was an added bonus.

Beautiful property/great location
The condo is in an historic building that was built in the 1830's. High ceilings, brick walls and large windows add to the charm. The property manager keeps the condo clean and they are great to work with and provide lots of information ahead of time to help you be prepared. The location is perfect - easy to get to all the various areas of the city. We will stay here again.

Weekend in NOLA
The condo was as advertised, photos depict the property well. Our group was going in a few different directions at times and this location in the Arts District served us well. You're just a mile or two from many of the attractions, we used Uber a lot, the street car ran by with in sight of the condo. There is a nice little bar / restauarant downstairs. We would certainly stay here again.

Loved Julia Street!
The condo was in a great location nearby many fantastic restaurants on our list and a quick walk from the grocery store. The Little Easy bar on street level below came in handy. 20-minute walk to the French Quarter and trolley stop across the street. Apartment was clean and comfortable and we loved the balcony. The host was very responsive. Highly recommend!
