"The good stuff - the host met us as we arrived; focused on the beauty so we did not see the bad parts til later (our fault); amazing balcony view of the Mediterranean and footpath to the water; floors and bathrooms were reasonably clean; family-friendly beach nearby where umbrellas and chairs could be rented The bad - multiple windows were cracked, broken furniture legs, countertops dusty and greasy, clean but stained linens, no toilet paper provided. "The reception was a huge problem. They didn’t have my reservation anywhere. I had to wait for over an hour and call Expedia support to get my room. The room was clean and it had a wonderful view. The place was extremely overcrowded. The pool water was filthy. The pool bathrooms were filthy and the beach was absolutely disgusting, totally filled with trash. "

"The apartment is nicely furnished, stunning sea views; This was my second time staying in this apartment. The owner gave discount, which was much appreciated. "Compared to most dangerous locations, this location is kid of discreet. Extremely expensive but most of the time peaceful. With little to no criminals, sex offenders terrorist fugitives on the run, or juvenile delinquency of underage fugitives. Great for expats, victim Refugees/victim asylum seekers, and service animals and pet furbabies. Just really expensive..... .... "

"Excellent location to stay in Alexandria. Close to everything. Walked to both the Fish Market and the Alexandria Library. Breakfasts were great each morning and the staff was very attentive. Manager and staff all very nice. Enjoyed Montys Bar with entertainment on the first floor. Two women at Concierge were very helpful Nagham and Nesma. It was great also to have the car transport service available at the Cecil Hotel. Rania from the car transport was very helpful in arranging our 3-hour car transport from Cairo to the Cecil Hotel on the evening of our airport arrival. Moustafa was the best driver. We also took a 5-hour tour of the important Alexandria sites with him. The Cecil’s historic significance makes this hotel stay very memorable. Thanks."

"I stayed at this hotel for one night and wow, what a great experience! The stay was super comfortable, and the staff were so cheerful and helpful, it felt like they genuinely cared. The room was spacious and spotless, which was a big plus for me, and the breakfast is delicious! I don't want to forget the beautiful beach nearby and the seaview from my room. I can’t recommend this place enough! I will definitely come back whenever I visit Alexandria. Thank you for the great hospitality!"

Windsor Palace Luxury Heritage Hotel Since 1906 by Paradise Inn Group

"The staff were lovely. We were welcomed with a drink and sweet snack while we were waiting to check in. We arrived very early, but they accommodated us by giving us a main floor room - which was lovely, but quite noisy from traffic, until check in time when we were given a fabulous room on the 5th floor. It’s an old hotel with lots of character. The view from our balcony was spectacular. The breakfast and light dinner options were great and the meals in the cafe were very good - service was a little slow - the violinist was exceptional. I would stay here again. "
